Very interesting read. I was personally not aware of this software being available, or how some riders are such big users of it.

What is 'videometry', the technique that is sweeping MotoGP in 2024?

Interesting in that it illustrates how technology geeks continue to reduce the human element in every aspect of day to day life. What with the advances in predictive AI - one wonders at what point MotoGp will just use motion-capture technology, so we can just lie on the couch, with intravenous beer with ketamine fed through a main artery, wearing hi-def video goggles with stereo cochlear implants and just feed us some Disney-fied fantasy of what most likely would have happened if there were still real flesh and blood riders going around the track.

While they are at it, might as well give the viewer a feeding tube. Then to top it off, they can appoint an AI simulacrum of Phillip K .... as head of Dorna.
