Well that certainly narrows it down.

He is, and from what i have read, i have lost a lot of respect for the guy. He stiffed quite a few hard working guys that saved for months to have the honor of going to his school. Knowing he was out of business, he continued to take these peoples money, never to be seen again.

yeah he's no ££$$ by the sounds

Since retiring from racing, Spencer's fortunes have been very mixed. The Louisiana native ran a successful riding school and was the motorcycle racing commentator for the US SpeedTV channel, but both of those ventures have gone sour. Spencer's riding school was forced to shut down at the end of 2008, after financial problems saw the instructors go unpaid and the bikes repossessed. Spencer's commentary work also dried up, with Daytona legend Scott Russell taking his place in the commentary booth.

Man... when them "Born Again" guys fall - they fall deep.

It could be worse. Facing career oblivion, unemployed, and trying to come to terms with a talent that he never truly fulfilled because he burnt out too quickly. He could have found himself, after failing to get a job at Subway, resorting to robbing and bag snatching geriatrics of their pension money to feed a rabid crack habit.

I'm joking of course. Let's keep this sensible. That could never happen in real life to an ex bike racer.

What???Those bikes are supposed to be on show at Mallory`s Festival of a Thousand Bikes in July!!!

If I had the money I'd buy them. Then I'd give them back to him, jump in my car and drive home.

Gee, I'm sure the riders he screwed out of their Race School deposits will REALLY appreciate your gesture.

As seems usual, the louder a given Holy Roller prays, the more inherently dishonest that person turns out to be.

My Freddie Spencer Sympathy-O-Meter just isn't responding!  [1\....5]

If there is any justice, the proceeds of the sale will go to pay back the guys he ...... at the racing school.

One can hope.

I suspect that he quite deliberately screwed those people.  Race school finances are pretty straightforward; it's hard to imagine that the $ 'just disappeared.'  I have to think Spencer was sucking a lot of 'profit' from the operation, and knew full well that the books would come up short.

I feel bad for the guys that lost money but really in the scheme of things Freddie is a double world champ and they were customers. There is a difference.

Cummon GS, you're givin' him a walk 'cause he's a two-time world champ? He's a bible-thumpin', money-stealing, unrecalcitrant .......... a la Pete Rose.
