Assen - Summer ??
It was cold and wet when Lil Red and I first stumbled upon each other there in 2011. But it was a very nice Sunday when we were packing up!
If you intend to camp, it's mental but good experience. sleeping pills or plenty of beer if you plan for an early night, Red had a few early ones,lol

I'm thinking about driving up on Saturday just for the race. Would camp for the weekend if it was a Sunday Race. It's about a 5 hour haul from where I'm at. I've been wanting to go here for a while now...Also planning to do the Sachsenring next month.
Quick Question...When I went to Sachsenring last year I just drove up and was able to get General Admin Tickets the day before the race. I tried to look up ticket prices on the TT website but they said they are sold out. Anyone think I will have a problem buying tickets at the Gate?

When I went in 2011 I screwed up and only bought a ticket for the Friday thinking it was for two days.
I bought a ticket at the gate for race day but it was in the uncovered seating areas just before the last chicane into the start fin straight.
I should imagine GA might be a problem as they are first to go,
However there may be some uncovered seats available,
I'd look on the website and see if these areas have also sold out, IIRC they didn't cost much more that GA

Thanks! I''ll give it a try. 90% of most events and concerts I've been to here in Germany I have been able to show up and get tickets. Most of the time from re-sellers for little markup. It is only a 5 hr drive, if we don't get in, me and the wife will just go to the pub watch the race and enjoy Assen.

Thanks man... We were able to get tickets in the stands. Hitting the bed now and will wake up in a few hours and make the drive up.
I'll probably be going to sachsenring again this year... Hope we don't get too wet tomorrow!
