Andrea Dovizioso a good race car driver?

I was watching a DTM race that took place in Misano (I like that track for car racing) and I kept seeing and hearing the name Andrea Dovizioso and I thought it was funny how there were teo people racing with the exact same name (first and family name) although in different series.

For some reason I kept thinking it couldn't be, right? Then I noticed it was with Audi (who owns Ducati, right?). Still, a test yes a race no, right? He was racing good, was in 10th place, battling it out with some racers who were there for a long time and then he spun out and ended up 15th. Good race but was it the one I think it was?

Yes, it was AD and he did a good job I must admit. I am happy for him and have some new found respect for him (or more respect to be precise).

Just though I let y'all know.

Yup, that was the actual Andrea Dovizioso :D

Several MotoGP riders happen to be good at car sports.

Seems like Pedrosa has been a beast (in terms of lap times) when he did a test with an F1 car. So was Marquez, but Pedrosa beat him.
It is known that Rossi is a very fast rally driver (I think he even did a WC race in New Zealand some years ago).

I guess being able to go THAT fast on a motorcycle helps with anything else that has an engine. That would also explain why I can barely drive go-karts :D

Probably the best thing that happened to Ducati was being taken over by Audi who've invested heavily in the company and brought a lot of engine and aerodynamics across...
The Yanks put bugger all investment into the project when they took it over as it was purely bike sales they were after which went .... up...
What better training can you have than riding 2 wheels or driving 4..
Schumacher turned to 2 when he retired, Hamilton does... Rossi has been doing on 4 in the off season for donkeys years and done very well out of it tbh...

Fair play I say to Ducati in all series as they've knuckled down to be the best...
