2024 World Superbike at Barcelona (feat. Toprak)

They are at Aragon, right?

Yeah Toprak looks good. Haven't watched the footage closely, but Sam Lowe's crash in FP2 was strange. The rear broke loose, and he stayed crossed up for a half second, and then it just threw him over the top. It looked like he lost the rear off throttle, then he gave it throttle to maintain the slide, and the electronics refused and threw him over the top.

Looking forward to this weekend. Aragon isn't my favorite track, but Toprak vs the Ducati's could be interesting.

Good times by several riders today, tomorrow could be an exciting day.

The WSSP super pole had some refreshingly newish names towards the top end. Maybe Huertas will actually be fighting for the title.

Why are they using Dodge safety cars when that brand isn't even on the market in Europe?

Last week was Petrucci and now Iannone gets a win. Toprak rode well considering his injury, and he got help from Bulega. Gerloff is on a tear. Hope he’s not been touched by Dorna or however the saying goes. Helping a guy find sponsor money when he’s headed to a Kawasaki team at the back of the grid is a good way to save a rider and a team.

Yes that was a top race, happy to see Iannone get his win.
This is the sort of racing that you don't see in the GP races.

Massively impressive performance by Bautista. Didn't put a foot wrong with Toprak right behind him.
Toprak finishes 2nd three times just coming back from injury. Great weekend for him but yet he'll be pissed. That's why I love him.

Bautista was not going to be caught, but he did a good job of managing risk and keeping Toprak behind him. I thought Toprak had it won with about 5 to go, but instead of taking the lead, he watched Alvaro ease away. Bulega was all over the place this weekend, and it must have frustrated him to see Toprak claw back so many points at a Ducati track. Iannone and Gerloff rode well all weekend.

Surprised that Yamaha are struggling so much. The new bike will need some development, but they’ve swapped places with Honda for last place factory team. I guess someone must be the backmarker, but it shouldn’t be the manufacturer homologating new bikes.

Looked like Toprak's race fitness faded in the last couple of laps. You could see him moving/stretching his head and neck down the straight at one point. I think he got all the points he could, so should be happy with the results.
As much as it pains me to say it, Bautista was just incredible.
