This whole thing reminds me of MotoGP during the open class era. One race between a handful of bikes and another to claim the best of the rest title.

Gotta wonder why more didn't go for slicks. What does a Guevara, Moreira, Baltus, Escrig, Darryn have to lose?

It wasn't just me before the restart being concerned that the choice of slicks could easily have been the wrong one. It's easy to look at things in hindsight.

It was a coin-flip before the race. We know now which side the coin came up on.

Wow, that's a release of tension when the race finished. Fortune has certainly favoured the brave, and despite Gonzalez having his maiden win, I think Ogura is the biggest winner.

Nice to see Kato's son waving the flag.

Who was the highest finishing rider on wets? VIE?

There it is.
Well done by Gonzalez, smart ride by Ogura who took the risk with the slicks and managed it by not trying to win against a faster opponent. Truly a champion’s ride.
Garcia should have taken the same risk; shows why he is not yet championship material.
Happy for Salac, underrated rider in my books.

Thank .... the rain made what is a boring track deliver an exciting race.

Fantastic job by Gonzalez.

Alonso 9th, Aldeguer 12th, Garcia 14th, sucks Ai couldn't pull it off in front of his home crowd but he's a winner as well.

Atta Boy Salac!
