I like the shots of the half-stripped bikes in the pits. We get to see too little of that. Nice.

Absolutely. Btw there is a board here exclusively for event pics. Its pinned so it will be up forever. As apposed to this thread which is dedicated only to this race. If u can post there it would be great this way we can all come back to review ur awesome pics over and over.
 
I fricken love that Aspar Aprilia. I just want to have a go on it even if it means breaking my collarbone exiting the pitlane.


 


Also, is Laguna Seca in some sort of nuclear wasteland? Why doesn't any grass grow around the track?

Not in July it don't!


 


The winter months are another story.

The whole Salinas River Valley area gets the vast majority of rainfall during the winter.  Grass grows, flowers bloom.  By May, the rains have move further north.  By late June the grass is fading fast, not to recover until mid October when the the first winter storms arrive.
