I'd argue that Elboz is a rookie. Yes he has done a couple of wild card races, but he's on a new bike, new tires, and will see quite a few new tracks next year, tracks that the other rookies grew up on.

Totally agree,the other rookies still have advantages that outweigh a couple of extra hours on a GP bike. Spies would be as legitimate as any candidate for ROY.With that being said,Spies for ROY

here a question for you - 2nd Honda rider-who will finish ahead, melandri, Dovi or simoncelli?

Stoner will win the title - with at least 7 race wins. He will podium at all but 3 tracks (possibly less), and I'll laugh because so many chumps on here think the way they do.

Biggest surprise - Suzuki still haven't folded.

Hi, seems like an interesting forum. Here are some predictions:

1) Who will win the 2010 title and rest of the podium?

Pedrosa, if he stays injury free and all the resorces Honda seem to be putting in create a slightly better bike I think he has a real shot at the title. Rossi second, then Stoner third. I think its pretty open though and any of the top 4 could win depending on how good the bikes are at the start of the year and any injuries picked up.

Battling for 5th with Melandri

3) Biggest surprise?

Not really sure, hopefully Suzuki will have a good bike and they will be fighting for podiums. That would certainly be a nice suprise.

4) Rookie of the year (only the real rookies, semi-rookies Spies and Espargaró don't count)?

If Spies does not count it would have to be Simoncelli, he will probably crash a bit but I think he has a bit more class than the others and will probably be on a better supported bike.

5) Last placed rider (not counting the poor soul that ends up on the Inmotec experiment)?

Bautista, with all the resources Yahama, Honda and Ducati are putting into winning a title Suzuki are going to be treading water at best, the fact that he is a crasher is not going to help matters.
