I don't know who has heard this or how reliable it might be, but wikipedia seems to think that aleix Espagaro will be riding fortuna aprilia along side Debon! Anyone else heard about this and what do they think he can do?

I heard something about that not so long ago also.. But i recently saw The Pogg's name thrown under Fortuna colours, now that he's at Campetella i guess Aleix is a red-hot chance.. I for one hope he gets a shot..

I'm not convinced yet. He seemed promising on the 125, but hasnt really every looked that quick in 250. He was out privateered by fabrizio lai this year, and his brother is clearly the bigger talent. All th

i swear if it wasnt for all of his mechanical DNF'S in 125s this year, he would be 125cc champ

i'm not so sure about that. He has had some races this year when he was nothing short of poor. Who's to say that he wouldn't have had more of those had his bike kept going long enough. It's too easy to assume that he would have won every race he didn't finish but he isn't actually that good.

Aprilia boss Gigi Dall'Igna has had a meeting with Faubel cause apparently they wont have the resources to build all the 2008 official RSA bikes, so he's gonna get this year's RSW bike Lorenzo used.
Don't think Hector will be too happy today lol.

Sucks though.

I think Bautista will win the end of the day although Kallio and Aoyama will be strong throughout the season.

Thats gonna be a real disappointment to him, but realistically he cannot expect to be a title contender in year one so its not big deal.

Kallio will use intelligence to triumph over Spain

are you implying the Spanish are stupid?

Bautista - champion
Kallio - a strong second (cant wait for the battles between these too, 2006 mark two!)

and Pasini and Faubel will be impressive, not title contenders yet though i dont think

No, just we have seen Bautista ride in quite an elaborate way all of this past season. It may have been brilliant a couple of times but it was messy at others, its not the way to win world championships. I expect him move up a level next year but kallio will be a serious threat.

no doubt, apparently Alvaro rode the way he did this year because he had set up problems all season and didnt have much front end feel, or grip. and he didnt have a full factory aprilia... i didnt know that until a couple of months ago

Yeah but there is full factory and there is full factory. I think Lorenzo would be riding marginally better stuff but nobody else, and Alvaro had the 08 bike (better than Jorge's) for the last 3 or 4 races, and nothing changed. Bautista semmed to ride flat out all season with or without his setup and just take the results if/when they came. Kallio spent more time getting used to the 250 gradually, found a comfortable setup and then pressed on to be a regualr front runner. I know which one i think will be a better position to start next year.
