There are those who whine about the state of Moto GP and wish it were more like Moto 2. I have long argued that Moto 2 could never stand on its own* or be the headliner of a series. You hear the same ole rabble, i wish Moto GP was more like Moto 2, i like Moto 2 better than Moto GP, blah blah blah. I called horse .... then, and i call it horseshit now. How popular is Moto 2, obviously not as popular as some think. There was an official test last week and nothing. Not a word, not a thread, like it didnt exist. I was going to start a thread but decided to wait and see if anyone cared enough about the series to start one. I waited, and waited, and waited some more. NOTHING. For those Moto2 fanatics out there, here are the results of last weeks test, Vinales looking strong.

Oh, and by the way, another test started today for those that wish Moto GP was more Moto2. No thread on this test either.

New to site but, have been checking to see if anyone is talking about them also. Vinales does look strong! That bike looked real strong last year.Nice to have a american in moto 2 also. He seems to be going ok but, will have a giant learning curve with the new tracks.

I am picking Rabat as champion.

I think the vast majority of us follow SBK yet there are very few threads here about SBK.  I certainly don't like M2 more than GP but I do appreciate the battles that take place in M2.  The absence of threads does not by itself indicate that nobody cares, it's just that this is really a GP forum.  During the season, there are so many threads, keeping track of multiple threads in different sections is too much.  I generally stick to posting about GP only even though I almost never miss a race (last year SBK was had to follow because of US TV) from any of the 3 series, GP, M2 or SBK.

Not to mention that it's still the off season.  This place is flat dead on it's ass during the offseason so posts about testing are rare.

I like Moto2 racing but i hate the fact that it is a one engine class....

It should be like Moto3, so that any engine manufacturer can run in it with whatever chassis they choose to use....

Your substantial scientific investigation and subsequent conclusion is iron clad dear sir.  Perhaps I should address you as Dr. Povol.  So to recap, nobody started a thread on a depleted forum during the off-season; conclusion: proof positive nobody gives a .... about Moto2. Case closed, not even a theory but rather codified scientific law. Unrelated of course, it was yourself that had to start a thread about the most recent MotoGP test less than a solitary day before the long awaited and anticipated winter testing ban was lifted, apropos ironically titled: "Testing starts tomorrow" something of a last minute reminder of sorts, given that, well nobody had actually started a thread; otherwise I doubt anybody would have opened one at all, which frankly is anemic in its participation and scope...perhaps nobody here gives a .... about MotoGP either, eh?  I'll have to think about this, as my faculties of reasoning are not a keenly sophisticated as yours, clearly.  Perhaps I will solicit the aid of the worlds foremost scientists to prepare and develop an experiment to test a possible explanation.

A few things to consider given your hypothesis and meticulously crafted and executed experiment.  Which was accomplished with quite the impulse control I may add, given your highly publicized but mildly infamous declaration to boycott MotoGP. A protest objection that has rendered a complete black out to all things MotoGP since the inception of the CRT of which spawned your call to action declaring your boycott of the sport, well except for this small matter of your constant and uninterrupted monitoring of the series, not limited to actually attending events.  Notwithstanding, Im not questioning the validity and deduction of your splendidly conducted experiment and its findings, surely to be published simultaneously in the Harvard, Princeton, and CalTech journals of scientific investigation; however, I would humbly submit to you the following:

First, consider that it is in fact the off-season.  Interest in such matters tend to wane during this period and is evidenced by a recurring cycle every year only since the establishment of the forum.  Second, the severity of such waning has been exacerbated further given the forum is under new management, which has shown to censor its participants, something that has resulted in some loss of appeal to a once unique caucus prompting less interest in participation.  The new management (if we can call it that) has shown to hold its sole interest on its metric of site hits to be pooled together with an array of other internet sites for the purpose of selling the potential of audience to vendors.  Thirdly, we already had one test where many questions have been answered whereby the second test provided little to no revelations. That is, answers to questions which our infamous 'Insider' combined with a peculiar endorsement had sparked interest, which since have been debunked.  The presumption being that no news results in little to no chatter. And finally, there is a high likelihood that MotoGP fans follow Moto2 with similar enthusiasm, but these individuals understand which of the two categories is the Big Show.  Perhaps one might employ a bit of prudence when considering such extrapolated reasoning by supposing as you have that no threads must mean no interest in the close and exciting nature of Moto2 racing. Revisiting the fact 'you' started the thread for the last MotoGP test in the absence of one, we might imagine had you applied your own rigorous parameters of, as you put it "waiting and waiting and waiting" to see if anybody would open a thread to signal interest. Its a good thing you did open a thread on the matter, on the cusp just hours before the scheduled event, "providing" there is in fact interest for MotoGP. Because, using your logic, had 'you' not opened a thread, it would have proved there is no interest in MotoGP. Stellar logic backed up by evidence: check.  Well, its in MotoGP threads, as you disclosed, where fans express fondness for Moto2, that series that apparently is not popular according to your conclusion; but oddly keeps being discussed in threads of the première category.

You sir, have indeed aided in "Proving a point".

Actually the grass is more potent on the flip side...

As to greenliness, only an idjit would limit themselves to one side when u can easily graze both.

Since y'all have gone there...

I refrained from pointing out what a weak, semi-retarded topic and OP this was 'cause I thought maybe you were drunk at the time of posting. Nope apparently you were serious. You do realise none of the ten replies to your OP agreed with you, right? Since you say 'retarded sidekicks' in the plural I am wondering who, in your opinion, besides curvey, are Jum's other tardkicks in this thread? JG251? Levi? Migs? Rez? Barry?

Boiled down you have two points in your OP:

1. Because no one on PS opened a thread re Moto2/3 testing no one cares about it, and;

2. a sketchy, unfocused bashing of anyone who believes MotoGP can be improved with closer racing similar to what we see in Moto2/3

Responses:

1. Moto2/3 are fun to watch PERIOD - MotoGP is fun to watch AND is a soap opera that is fun to talk about. We CARE about Moto2/3 - we just don't care to talk about it 'cause there ain't as much to talk about. Simps no?

2. Pov, I know you pray to the god of 'highest tech only in MotoGP and I don't care if its a parade' but I believe you can have the highest tech AND closer racing on a weekly basis. Why set the bar so low?

Its called the "off season" you poor deprived dumb basterds .. daddy needs time away from the childrens or he'd murder you

The racing was fantastic last year, some people whine just to whine because reality doesnt fit their narrative.

Racing last year was better than the previous 5 or 6 but only a fool would say MGP was in a perfect state last year.

Agree. Thought it was a fascinating season even tho it was a Spanish 3-way and probably will be again this year.

If you were actually following things you would know that those who actually did 'threaten' haven't been back. AND you shouldn't call Barry a he/she - the preferred nomenclature is 'transgender'.
