No-lose situation. If Rossi returns to form, Galbusera will get the credit. If Rossi doesn't, everyone will just assume that it's final proof that Rossi is past it.

I'll post here what I told u about our bet. Never underestimate my dislike for Pedro. I'd be happy for VR to beat him, and in this way perhaps hasten the Spanish yacht captain's overdue exit from his undeserved seat. Sending u a premium bottle of tequila would be my little celebration. If this happens I will raise a glass with u across the pond.
Pedro has no respect for himself, why should anybody else have some for him. Everything u need to know about Pedro was on display at Motegi. He lined up nicely behind Marc despite appearing to have the better pace. Not even a wheel. He had every motivation to beat Marc, if anything at least take points away as payback for Aragon. He has no fire in his belly, and once again. He was slapped around like the ..... he is at Valencia. Those crying that Lorenzo was too aggressive and dangerous havent been paying attention this season. Lorenzo basically understands that race direction doesnt exist, so he pressed a strategy to win the title, yet he didnt torpedo Pedro as some tried to suggest. Rather Pedro got so spooked he ran wide because as usual, he runs from a fight. Instead of trying to beat his teammate at Motegi he was his wingman, ironically after being clipped. He had pace to battle Lorenzo at Valencia and he bitched out. Give that special bike to somebody with hunger.
Consider and compare the reaction from Pedro after he was taken out at Aragon verses, for example, Mother Teresa Hayden when Nice Guy Dovi clipped him at Laguna. The very next race Nicky returns the favor by racing Dovi hard, imparting the message that this kinda ........ isnt gonna fly. They raced tooth and nail the rest of the season. Look at Lorenzo, and see how he turned up the intensity. He was playing nice, even appealing to RD to do their job. Since there was no response, he rode aggressive fighting fire with fire. (Anybody trying to say it was hypothetical is asking of Lorenzo to apply a standard that RD has in effect declared doesnt exist, including most of the spectators approval of Jerez torpedoe.) This is quite possibly the most eloquent anti-Pedro essay I've ever read. I'm not fan of Dani (I always felt he was a fast rider who didn't have the stomach for a fight), but your dislike of the man borders on the poetic.
