this is a question for the better people than i, the yam 2004 bike got off the line ok but the 2005 bike didnt so im asking will the 2006 bike shift off the line cus its gunna help rossi catch marco and nicky in certain races,,

Yea, in the races it seemed Rossi would always get beat on the jump off the line on the races and he would follow. Maybe it was his strategy or maybe the Yam really is getting beat on the drag race to the first bend.

I've heard somthing about Edwards and starts. Can't remember what though. Either he's good or bad or getting better or somthing

yeah i mean the starts, im just compairing 2004 to 2005, if u saw the races then it there to c..
so my question still stands

I'm not exactly sure. They don't use the clutch for gearshifts on a motoGP bike so maybe it was a faulty clutch design, that'd be the only time theyd use it. Maybe it wasnt resposive enough. It could have been a slump in low down power too I guess, in an effort to give the M1 those few extra top end ponies so it's on par with the Ducati and the Honda.
