Great races, feel sorry for Guintoli, should he have been penalized, didnt seem like he gained any advantage. In the end didnt matter, he still overtook unnamed rider for 7th in the championship when unnamed rider threw it down the road twice to finish up his miserably inadequate season, not only finishing behind his Rookie teammate, but behind another rookie riding a Suzuki.

Unlike you......I feel sorry for Guintoli and feel he should not have been penalized....

In the last 3 WSBK rounds, Toseland only finished one more race than Camier did (and Camier did not race any of the last 3 rounds).....earning 8 points in the final 6 races!!

I've just seen the first interview i've seen with cal for a year or so, and i've realized i really don't like him. i wonder if he might have that same thing Foggy had where he's an arsehole but he's a good rider

He`s a Coventry lad Tom, in Cov we don`t suffer fools easily.Whats up don`t you like a bit of focus?

Drill...no I didn't see the podium spat, .... coverage on Speed...I read about it on Crash though. Seems Max didn't want to be sprayed since he's still under the weather.

Well he hasn't got the charm of Skakey Byrne or the 'nice guy' appeal of Tom Sykes has he. But as you say, he's a better rider than both and i think probably the right guy for motogp.

I really enjoyed race 2; it was one of my favorites this season. It was very interesting to watch Crutchlow try and figure out how to get by Guintoli and later Biaggi (unsuccessfully). There wasn't as much back-and-forth positional trades and some other battles, but there was great tension as he kept trying to work at getting through. With the lines he was taking, I think he could have pulled off a really amazing sail-by move somewhere, but easier said than done of course. I can't decide if my favorite last lap battles are one 3-way, or two very close 2-ways like we had today. Haga and Fabrizio had a fun little spat earlier, and I'm actually very surprised Fabrizio keep the sticky side down this whole race. He can be quite fast but so inconsistent this season, unlike 2009.

As always Steve Martin's commentary was very insightful for the whole race; he's my favorite by far out of the motogp wsbk and ama feeds, and I hope he stay on for a long time.

sorry I read your post thinking you left out the word not in "should he have been penalized".....I now see that tiny comma and it changes the meaning of your statement into a question of him really getting the ride through (later leading to his DSQ).

Lex Pov, is the Aprillia the Buell of WSBK?

No, it didnt have close to twice the displacement, close to twice the torque and 20% Hp advantage. It was simply a good bike with a rider who was better than the rest. Had Spies stayed, i believe the Yamaha would have crushed Biaggi and the Aprilia.
