agreed, even though I've never made a secret of my ...lets call it mild dislike...for guintoli that is shameful.
i wonder how the bmw pull out will work out in the end though, given how much time and money has been dumped into the project and no new bike to come in the forseeable future it could make perfect sense for them to do an altea kind of thing.
the chassis is good by now, so are the electronics (which can be marellis anyway if its not an official factory effort).the engine should be good too but thats being prepared by bmw anyways so no worries there.i'm not too pessimistic about bmws chances in 2013.agree its looking bad for haslam.
if there are 2, maximum 3 seats at bmw italia next year those will most likely be taken by melandri and either checa and/or rea / dovi. i've heard all 3 are in talks with bmw.
i blame the current lack of good rides for some riders entirely on the direction wsbk has been headed the past couple of years.
in contrast to motogp where theres always the (in my opinion lame ,but thats just my opinion) excuse its prototyping this is supposed to be a series with good racing that promotes bikes.nothing more.
i'm looking forward to the next years where the bikes should be a little closer to superstock rules, from what i've heard there are even discussions to adopt bsb style rules for 2014,no tc, stock wheels etc.
theres simply no room for 2 expensive series at the moment, and neither am i interested to see 2 forms of gp racing.
its a real eye opener when you see a "naked" world superbike. that thing has got nothing to do with a road bike.and i mean really nothing, not just different fairings or forks and all sorts of stuff that make sense from a rider safety standpoint but even moving fuel tanks and all that stuff.
