Two Yamahas on front row. VDM & Nicky were lucky wilst being unlucky. Could've been worse. Will be tough for them getting a good result starting way back.

PJ Jacobson looking good.

Chas on the Ducati for race one. Good to see the Kawasaki bikes aren't having things all their own way.

Great work by Hayden to avoid the fallen VdM as well .............

Thanx for the pic. Jesus that could have been tragic. You got any vid?

Not yet, waiting to see if anything turns up as it is a screen shot afterall - if I come across video will post it as whilst it may seem morbid, I do enjoy watching the superhuman reaction times and skills of these guys ............ the speed that they identify danger and take evasive actions just staggers me when all in close quarters.

And to give perspective the original poster where I found it had similar thoughts to you - was titled 'I thought I was witnessing a death'

Ta Moto , that shows that it was not as 'severe' as the still pics made it look but still sensational work by Hayden and the following rider to avoid VdM, and interesting that he seems to ride off the ripple strip and voila, down.

Chaz takes race two. I bet he feels better than he did a couple of weeks ago. Giugliano is not getting the most out of the Panigale.

Chaz Davies with a clean sweep of the weekend.

Masterful riding against Sykes and Rea, they had no answer for the Ducati.

Kudos to him for taking advantage at a track he does very well at against the two best bikes on the grid. Nothing short of incredible riding on his part.

Aragon showed how inadequate the CBR1000's are...I doubt Honda will be updating that bike for 2017. Really disappointing though since Van der Mark is trying to pull out every last bit from that bike, maybe to his detriment. At least he finished today's race, while Nicky retired with some mechanical issue. Haven't seen what it was. I wonder if he is already wondering why he agreed to ride the Honda...would have loved to seen him on that Ducati in place of Giugliano.

Sykes I can't figure out. He fought back after losing P2 and got it back from Rea, while he wasn't able to do it yesterday. Announcers said Rea never looked good this week, but if you took Davies out of the picture he'd have had a win yesterday and a P2 today. Probably will be back on top in Assen. Sykes better figure something out soon.

Bring on Assen.

Absolutely agree with all of this. Saves me typing. Outstanding rides from Chaz on a circuit that has Kawasaki written all over it. Would never have predicted this. Superb.
