I love those guys

Well in England we have James Whitham & Jack Burnicle
<
, not sure if it the same for you in the U.S though.

I'm a Yank and the guys I get on Speed and the website are Johnathan Green and Steve Martin. Green is the shrill-voiced commentator while Martin is the low-key expert.

I think Green adds excitement to the races with the emotion he shows. He's also funny with his habitual one-liners such as "LeBlanc draws a blank" and "having kittens."

Martin brings that needed technical side to the broadcast; the man excels at his job. Although perhaps the most important function of his job is to correct Green.

Jack Burnicle and James Whittam are brilliant. We have different ones though sometimes, not sure of their names, and they're awful. They make so many mistakes, I get angry and start screaming at the tv because they always get the rider names wrong etc...

My pet peeve is when the mispronounce a riders name. That really pisses me off

You've obviously never heard/seen Toby Moody and Julian Ryder then? They put all the rest to shame and are a legends in their own time.

Jamie Whitham is the most amazing commentator.

No very PC, but cool!

Pete

I prefer James and Jack, Toby Moody can be irritating at times.

If your from Texas like I think your profile says and you watch it on speed. The commentators are jonothan green like someone above said and, steve martin maybe? Green is the animated announcer and martin is the more layed back softer voiced one. I personally love jonothan green's commentating myself...everyone has their own opinion I guess.

I like the coverage done by Green and Martin. Green follows the race and knows what's going on with the riders. He does make a few mistakes but his hilarious comments make up for them. Martin at first I wasn't excited about but I think he has been really getting into the job lately and now I enjoy his feedback on the race.

I download the Eurosport coverage of both 125/250 if they aren't show on race day on speed. Toby Moody and Julian Ryder are great. True they can be clowns at time, but they are fans of the sport, so they follow closely the racing and react accordingly when something important happens.

Now contrast these guys with Ralph Shaheen and Greg White (the bozo commentators of the AMA).

Yeah...because of Green and Martin I started to watch the races on the net. I was really surprised at the first time how much excitement, fun and joy can these guys add to the races.

Unfortunately I can not enjoy the MotoGP usually in English...I did a couple of times and loved those guys as well.

Green and Martin are incredibly good commentators, i'm hoping you're refering to them when you say they are brilliant and not Burnicle and Whitham.

Whitham is a good colour commentator but Burnicle is terrible, he's been commentating on WSBK for years and he still has limited knowledge and he laughs at everything which is nothing short of irritating.

I've grown pretty fond of Brunicle and Whitham, they are clearly excited and passionate about the sport, they speak very honestly about what they think and don't take themselfes too seriously. I like the circuit history that burnicle opens each broadcast with too.

The guys who do motors TV (I think thats green and Martin) are terrible, they try pretty hard to make things exciting but it sounds pretty forced and stale like James Allen.
