Hmm...at first I thought this idea sucks because how Honda handles its satellit-teams. Their future golden boy is Dovi, if Pedro fails this year. Then I imagined with Sete and Marco how HUGE sponsorship money would stand behind the project.
Anyway, I am not sure if Sete could get along with the Honda 800, it is not the 1000V5 any more which was very powerful and "easy to ride" at that time. Maybe it would be better to stuck on the Duke for him.
For Marco, no question it would be a turning point again...but this time upside!
The only time they were together, and in the Gresini Honda team, things weren't good for Sete. They started the year both on the podium but Sete wasn't too happy

Was that race when the second rider (who warned younger riders to race safely not so long ago) with a "totally controlled" move in the last corner of the race literally pushed Gibernau from top to the gravel??
Yeah I remember now. Wait, I got an idea lets say if Giber on the Duke would do a similar move to this guy for example in the next race. I bet it would be even funnier.

But Gibernau wouldn't make those funny things Rossi did in the podium. Rossi pointing to Gibernau and laughing so much
But if Rossi did the same to Stoner, now that would be even funnier

WHAT U THINK?..PLS POST UR REPLIES
Why?
So one of them can be runner up again?
They don't need to be reunited. Gibby needs to get back on the Duc then pull a Pedrosa.
Don't get me wrong, I want Stoner to win. Technically; however, Sete still owes Stoner a one way ticket into the gravel.

I still think that giving Sete another crack would be a mistake. If were gonna bring riders out of retirement, bring back KRJR, at least he won a GP title.......Seriously though, I'm quite sure there is a lot more talent out there than Sete.
Maybe Ducati will stick him on a bike til the end of the season if Melandri gets the final push, but I'd be surprised if anyone signed him up for the long term.

I agree that there aren't many more talented riders than Gibernau or Roberts Jr., but they've had their chance. Roberts had his title and then coasted for the following six and a half years, while Gibbers faught tooth and nail in 2003 and 2004 and decided he'd rather have a wife and start a family than ride. I've done a 180 with Gibs and really like the guy, but I would be very skeptical of his commitment.
