Winning GP's is it a measureable motivation?

Can't honestly say I was stunned when Casey Stoner won at Qatar .... and since then all the rest .... the boy was born to ride, so to me it was just a matter of time....

There has been bucketloads of speculation as to why he is winning but one aspect I wonder about is:

once a rider accomplishes a GP win, what does it do to his "mindset"?

is it just a confidence thing? .... " oh well I know I can do it"?

is it a comfort thing? .... entering a new placement in the grading of riders

is it a pride thing? ....... Biaggi...

is it a matter of expectations? ...... I can see this in some riders but not others and I would say that that is a trait Stoner exhibits, to me Rossi did and to me its going with him ( maybe just me but he doesn't seem as "driven" ) Doohan had it ... and many more champions before him. Its probably what causes a personal drive to win. McCoy did but then it dissappeared but he never seemed to consistently have that drive to me, he would seem up one race then down another. Stoner seems more "businesslike" than McCoy was

But how much value is it to get a few GP wins up?? How much does it "boost" the riders psychii to the point where it is helping?

Just some thoughts. Any pertinent thoughts/observations?
