With the capacity moving up to 1000cc could we see the MotoCzysz C1 enter motogp in 2012? The C1 featured some revolutionary designs from the engine, forks to the monocoque carbon fibre frame ( about 4 years early then ducati's GP9).

What is the bore dimension on their engine? If it is not 81mm then they will have a lot of work to do.

Not as much as fb corse although I guess with the latest regulations they can keep running their 800 if it does eventually materialise, albeit likely with even less chance of being competitive.

According this article from Motomatters.com the C1 uses an 82mm bore:

So yes there is engine work to be done, but it's not a monumental task.
The bigger issue will be getting sponsorship. I think this would be the biggest hurdle to getting into MotoGP.

and have plenty of time in which to do it in!

but your right about the sponsorship....... will by far be the most challenging hurdle to overcome and one imo they will not be able to overcome.

With the current economic conditions I'm afraid you're right.
Maybe Czysz would be able to secure enough sponsorship to run as a wild card in the two US rounds. I can dream can't I?

YES!!! maybe the king could help him out!

Thing is - the damned thing doesn't use fuel. If they can't make the bike
use the same amount of fuel as it's competitors - (assuming the motor
makes competitive power) it would have a huge advantage that would be
difficult to fairly regulate.

Czysz couldn't finish IOM TT so they've got no hope of doing anything in MotoGP.

I get the impression they are all hat & no cattle....very little at best.

No.
Simple.

QUOTE (Oniker @ Mar 10 2010, 06:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Simple, why??

Cos they wont have the money to either start ( or more likely)fininsh a years racing , and will struggle for reliable competitive horsepower.

Just my cynical opinion , but i'd say i'm right.
Not being arrogant but the competitive and reliable bit seems to take a while to acheive, so thats why I dont think they will race.
I hope they do, cos another bike on the grid wouldn't go amiss, but I cant see it being more than a one off or possibly 2 or 3 before going away for a "radical redesign" or some such....

I for one would like to see the bike run and be competitive. The entire neutral handling and revolutionary fork design should be awesome to race.

Ilmor, KR,WCM and Czysz need to combine funds and run for a year.

How the hell can they go racing without a motorcycle? AFAIK, the ONLY thing this company sells are t-shirts and stock. What do they produce with that $? Nothing but T-shirts, 'prototypes' and vast quantities of hot air! The company will soon be challenging Paul Moller's "Sky Car" for the title of "Biggest piece of scamware / vaporware on the planet."

I could - maybe - see them kludging together a one-off 'special' for 'Guna. But it would be pure PR hype, not a real attempt at racing. They'd make Ilmor's scrawny team look like Ferrari.
