Why doesn't Pedrosa just race the pneumatic?

I mean Hayden has been riding it for a number of races now and it seems like it can handle going through the motions of race day.

What is there to lose for Pedrosa to ride it for the rest of the season? He is out of the championship hunt and he could get experience on it. I'm not sure why he is that hesitant to use it for the remainder of the season.

The bike apparently has a higher center of gravity which makes it harder for Dani to ride so he si against it....and because Nicky has developed and favours the pnuematic engine, since Dani doe not trust any of Nicky's development ability so far....you can read a number of articles last year in which Dani kept saying the work Nicky did for the 800 over the year was just about worthless.

I think you're spot on in my opinion. He may be small in stature, but the rugrat has an ego the size of a bus. I think he despises Hayden, and loathes to give any credit to him for development of the 800.

Add to that his current form with a hand injury. Not the time you want a jumping, harder to turn bike in your hands.

YEah the article that was out about him testing the new bstones said that very thing where it wasn't as gentle. LOL what does he want someone to make it easy for him?

If you actually think Dani would rather ride a slower bike than give Hayden credit for some development work then i would suggest you have seriously overlooked motogp riders comitment to winning. Dani will ride the bike he feels most comfortable on, and that he is convinced is reliable. The pneumatic valve engine seems to be reliable now so hes giving it another try, but remember that faster over one lap isn't necessarily faster over a race distance if it ruins tyres.

Good point Tom. That is good logic, but Pedrosas' move to Bridgestone flies in the face of that logic, quite a gamble. I wonder if he would have done the deal to Bstones if Nakano hadn't tested the pneumo/bstone pkg.

YEah the dildo attached to his seat doesn't hurt as much so little Dani has to use the slower bike for more pleasure.

Well the little ....... should get off his ... and develop the bike his ....... self instead of complaining. He gets that chance next year.....and he better get it right, or the shoe will be on the other foot with Dovi!

Thats pretty laughable because one look at the RC212v size tells you which HRC rider Honda had in mind for it,ive come to really like Hayden and i hope to god Ducati works out for him and he can hand Dani his ... at some point, preferably sideways and with tire smoke everywhere oh yeah

He has been developing the spring valve engine/chassis for himself....so much so that Nicky was watching some race video a few races ago, and suddenly noticed Dani had new Chassis which Nicky had NEVER seen or heard about....

Dani has developed the 2008 bike to suit him, his riding style, and other riders similar to him (e.g. Nakano, Dovi, DeAngelis, & RDP).....

If you think about it....only Nicky rode superbikes and all the other honda riders were in 125s and 250 GPS....so their riding style can be adapted to the 800s.....unlike the KY kids now riding the pneumatic powered pig....

I think HRC should look into a Desmo like system for themselves instead of using pneumatic valves....but we will all have to wait and see what happens for the 2009 bike...

All I could say to Nick is don't look back, this is the way you've been treated from day one at HRC. Even if his results don't happen on the Duck(if that is in fact where he lands) I'm sure he will have more fun not having pit with Puig's pet.

if anything, the better atmosphere of the ducati (or anywhere else for that matter) garage should be worth a few tenths..never mind an interest in hayden winning, not just testing for pedrosa
