who's it gonna be?

Its a tough question and i don't think the Kawasaki Bosses even know the answer yet.

DePuniet has more raw Speed than Westy and is clearly very talented, but if he can't relax and stop crashing he will not get a ride he is clearly capable of justifying.

West is learning fast and catching up to Randy, his worth in the long run will be more clear as we see his learning curve level out. But when will that happen, if he stays at this rate for the entire season he will be good for podiums next year, but i doubt that will be the case.

Overall i've always had a soft spot for DePuniet since 250 days so i hope he gets it done (and beats Hopper next year), but i actually fear that West will prove to be the better man.

Lets just say I wouldn't want to be the one to make that call. But I think that they'll go with De Puniet.. he was meant to battle with CV and Dani (although Dani's bike last year was clearly better), and to give away his seat now would be like an admission of defeat.

I do agree with you Racer...but as soon as Randy de PuHHHH...has secured his ride with the Kawasaki team!!!...Then he will get back to his usual CRASHIE FORM in 08....once a crasher always a CRASHER!!! And what Mick Doohan said as far as that ......... ‘saying is concerned”!!...Randy is NOT included in that saying!!!...
With Randy...He Crashes ALL THE TIME...and you can’t teach HIM HOW NOT TO CRASH!!!
Randy will always CRASH and will never be FAST!!!

Well doohan was a crasher when he started (didn't they call him "dead by june"), Casey was a crasher jsut last season. Randy is already fast (as we have soon) and i would expect you of all people to understand the talent he has to offer and the value of not giving up on him.

I agree, I expect Casey Stoner to return to gravel-diving duty any day now.

i have a feeling that it's gonna happen at least once before the season is over.

Not likely given how the Bridgestones are working with the Ducati...if it was going to happen then it would have happened at Laguna...

And back to the topic at hand, West derserve a ride with some team in MotoGP...and if Kawasaki cannot see the potential then someone else should benefit from him talent...D'Antin perhaps?

I agree with that, even if Randy gets the Kawasaki ride i would hope West finds a seat elsewhere.

Who's it gonna be?

Roger Lee Hayden.
<

that would be a major disappointment
<

I've got to go with RdP on this one. West certainly deserves a ride and I think D'Antin should give him a chance (please don't go to Honda Ant, they'll emasculate you and kill your career
<
)

RdP is a fast and extremely capable rider. His performances in 250's proved he was just as good as Pedrosa, Melandri et al. If crashing was a criteria to lose your ride in motogp then Carlos Chucka would be long gone.

I've been impressed with West so far, and he deserves to get a decent ride next year, but as a Randy fan, I've got say I hope he gets the place, I think he's got a lot of talent and has got a lot of potential to improve.

And he is getting better at staying on!

"Randy fan" ????

We're all randy fans!

West or Randy? Is a difficult choice right now. I guess it
depends on how the rest of the season goes. Should be some sparks
flying in camp green as they fight for the place. I wimp out on a
decision right now as a "we want three" chant builds up in my mind!

Though, if forced to choose now...get rid of the frog

Aussie
aren't that bad are
they?

(just for internet purposes i would like to make it clear that
this was a superficial shallow comment that i don't
mean)
