Me: Olivier Jaque. I think if he gets on well with the Kawa and the race get's some rain, then he will be a race winner.

Remember China?

I think to qualify as suprise - the rider must not have won a motogp race in the past 3 years.

Your thoughts?

I'd love to see OJ bag a win. Does Checa qualify? I can't remember. Carlos or Stoner I think. Barros would still be a surprise and a major coup for d'Antin Ducati. Or what about Muckspreader on the Ilmor. Kenny junoir's got to have another win left in him. The more surprise winners the better. Whenever this caffiene wears off I'll pick one

The trouble with this question is that i actually expect guys like Nakano, Edwrds, Stoner and Barros to win a race. Si i wouldn't actually be surprised.

I think to actually surprise me for a win its gonn abe a suzuki rider or Carlos Checa

i think we may get a supprise and hayden may win one

maybe someone who has a suprise race and a suprise win like bayliss
<

I think Elias will be another big hitter with a race win or 2 this year, maybe even Checa, Guintola or Jacque. Good luck to all the riders anyway!

Nakano for me.. I would say Vermuelen, but I think he will win more than one race this year..

as your asking for a surprise winner and i would expect nakano hopkins edwards junior and all the rest of them to have no excuse not to win, iam going for a stand in rider, god forbid anyone gets hurt, but tights do get ripped so ill go for a biaggi stand at the end of the year, baylis style. just so he can stand on the podium and give honda the finger

Checa or Barros .... and theres some other riders in my head that i would kinda be expecting a win from.

KRJR or Vermulen or Hopkins (maybe, probably, hopefully)

Casey will tease us with leading, but will crash in the final moments. (I hope I eat my words)

I'm thinking along Ooost's lines, DePuniet is looking a lot better than OJ. I don't think he'll go all the way to a win, though. But it would suck for Nakano, Hoffman and OJ to see him win after all thier time and effort spent developing the bike.
Surprise winners, I'd say KRJR is most likely, behind him a Suzuki, then Edwards or Nakano

i'm likein your train o thought here austin my boy. i'll go with frenchy 1 also.

Thanks boys. He's a long shot but I think he could prove quite competitive this season.

I am going balls out and saying that James Toseland gets a one off ride when Melandri gets hurt and wins a race at Donington.

I think Roberts JNR has another win in him, and I'd like to think Edwards can get one this year. Not really surprise winners though they are both well capable.

I think Vermullin could pull out a few surprises this year if the Suzook is competitive.
