I guess anythings possible, but the AMA would feel like a big step down from the MotoGP, wouldn`t it? I wouldn`t rule it out I reckon he`s more likely to retire than go back to any SBK series.
I just thought, he might be saying he aint considering it on his website because he`s trying to get a new contract with Yamaha first, and dosen't want to be seen to be looking at "moving down" if he can`t get a ride in the GP next year.
Richo you're right, there aren't many spots in GPs for Spies. I said that it would be very unlikely that he could make the move at this stage but if it is at all possible I think it would be with Yamaha. Only because they were the only factory interested in Hayden (until Honda saw Yamaha offerred him a factory ride and did the same) when he was at this stage in his career. Although I don't believe Spies has made the same impression on the global scene as Hayden did. He certainly should though, Spies is beating Mladin on equal machinery where I believe Hayden had an advantage over Mladin's GSXR 750 with his RC51. A Corona Suzuki ride would certainly be a step in the right direction for Spies at this stage.

I'm not too sure. Colin has always struck me as someone who is very criticial of the way a series is run. AMA Superbike is the worst run series of the big series. I'm not so sure Colin would want to put up with it in the twilight of his career. My guess is as his career is winding down, he will want to relax and just win races. Who knows. Colin bolted to Europe before I got into racing so I'm not familiar with his AMA days other than the fact he rode 250s with KRJR and SBK for a season or two before he left. Sorry for the long answer, I just don't know if he'd consider a return. I've certainly thought of the idea before though. I would love it.
