Yes then goin Perth to see family

Plans are to do Germany and Laguna and of course PI. Was going to try and do Donny as well but they moved it to far forward for me! Anyone got any accomodation suggestions for Germany and Laguna they would definately be welcome!

BTW for anyone planning on going to Mugello be sure to hire a car as they don't have any transport for the Friday and the Saturday. Found this out the hard way and had to walk 5 kms from the track to the train station! We were lucky enough to get a lift from the town to the track in the morning from a couple we were asking directions from!

does any of you know (or somebody else who has been to le mans before) if the general entree tickets and the standingplaces have videowalls??

we want to order the tickets, but the tribune tickets are way expensive for le mans!

You should be able to order normal tickets from the website, if not then it's just grandstand tickets

I joined the ACO last year (the club that owns the track) and they have their own grandstand right opposite a giant tv screen at the end of the start/finish straight. It cost me 66 euros for a years membership and you can take 2 guests in to the grandstand with you. The good thing about this is that you can join on the day and go straight in and not many people know about it so the grandstand doesn't get too full.

how does that work? I'll be comming with at least 6 people, so that means I need to sign my dad and me in for that club, which will cost us 66,- per person. do the other 4 people I'll bring as guests have to pay another entreeprice too? above the normal entree price we'll have to pay to have acces to the track, I assume

I can join the club ON race day in mai, right?? are there any other costs to it too??

It's about 66 euros to join and you and 2 guests get in to the grandstand for free. So if you and your Dad join you can take 4 people in at no extra charge (in to the grandstand, you still need seperate tickets to get into the track). Last year we arrived thursday lunchtime and bought our tickets on the door. If you're going to stay on the campsite opposite the track it's free BUT you need to show the security guards your track ticket.
You can join the club on race day like I did last year but in hindsight I would join as soon as you get there, they have good food, cheap beer, clean toilets and even good showers you can use all free of charge.
Oh yes if you ride down there is somewhere safe to put your crash helmets too.
Must stop typing I'm getting excited at the thought of going back.

thank you very much rgvneil! I've told my dad, he seemed pretty excited when I told it all
<
we will consider joining the ACO

Going to Donny hopefully, looks like we'll be quite a group, will look forward to seeing you all
