<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Arrabbiata1 @ Feb 13 2010, 10:30 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I also had the Yamaha DT 125 which had been bored out to 175cc which I loved, but the PE was far more entertaining. I remember a friend of mine using the PE to teach his girlfriend how to pull off on a bike and before we could say anything she pinned the throttle, dumped the clutch and landed on her head - the bike took off - never touched the ground.

my first real bike!

i loved that PE, although the 250 was a real hoot too! if i remember correctly, the PE had the motor and the yamaha IT175? had the suspension.
i used to have to repair (weld) the pipe on mine quite often as the road i went up and down every morning was next to a maize field and on the other side were the free range chickens....the front tyre would knock them down and flip them up into the path of the exhaust (also started the plucking process!)BAMN! one chook piped and then the rear tyre would turn it into a sparsely feathered bag of broken bones. chickens are stoopid alright.. that PE and I had some good times...thanks Arrab for reminding me of them
