They've had problems with the bike since the start of the year. They apparently fixed the main problem now though, but it didn't solve the technical problem he had in the race.

Chassis, tyres, now electrics. The new M1 is a bucket of ..... It`s made for good racing though. Seems like the only time Rossi is faster than when he`s leading the pack is when he`s trying to catch up to it

But this problems doesent causes with Colin Edwards
<

Maybe this problems sources can be technical management.

Colin has taken that bike to the podium, and he would have done it again in Le Mans if he hadn't been thrown out of track by Rossi's kamikaze start.

The bike is good, Vale has just been unlucky.

Don't worry when Vale and the Yam get started he'll make everyone else look stupid as normal. I can't wait!

I'm tellin ya fella's, Rossi looked as dangerous at Le Mans as I've seen him on a Yamaha. If you've got the race recorded, check out the aggression. Last time I saw him dig in like that was at Phillip Island when he got the 10 sec penalty and look what happenned there. I really believe the engine failure was just bad luck and won't happen again. If it pans out that they've really worked out the M1's problems, he's going to make a few people eat their words. Honestly, none of the other guys are consistent enough to rack up a handfull of wins while Yamaha wrestle with the 'Camel curse'. I watched the Le Mans race again yesterday and all I could think was, if that Yamaha is really sorted and Rossi can turn it on like that for the rest of the year, things are about to get boring. We'll find out at Mugello I guess.

Technical management? Jeremy Burgess?

Are you kidding? He`s the best mechanic ever!

Yamaha will solve their problems, with Rossi and Burgess at the helm there is no way they can't fix the M1. And Rossi will stay with Yamaha for the forseeable future, rumor has it there is a two year contract in the works between the two parties. Odd considering Rossi said he would only sign one year deals until the end of his career.

watch...Vale will go to Ducati to help develop their 800 bike..

Probably, I think Valentino is a lurker here and likes to make me eat sht. It happens a lot when I speculate about him.

haha can you imagine if some of the riders were lurkers here and when someone slags them off they sign up to defend themselves

Yamaha have had problems since the start of the season with the bike. Before the French Grand Prix they added a new frame to the bike and that solved Vale's problems. He retired from the French race from a rare engine failure. Rossi should be back to his winning ways now.

After this season he might not be in a psition to choose what contract he signs, and might go for a two year job to protect himself.

I wouldn't be suprized if he jumps on a Duc for 07. My guess is that this would only happen if he takes #1 this year(still likely), and sign's with Ducati a 1 year deal. He then will be able to give Honda the 3rd BIRD(middle toe). Than maybe in 08 he'll go to F1. We all know he is smart and loves a challenge!!!

He`s never going to F1, and Ducati can`t afford him. Most likely he ends his days with Yamaha, if not them, he`ll go back to Honda. Which is damn near impossible so if I was a betting man I`d put money on him seeing out his Career on a Yamaha

Is Skidders here the only other one who has seen this for what it is,...?

Rossi annihilated the opposition at Le Mans, he came from behind,. fought hard and went to the front,. quick spectacualr in itself,.

then Padrosa rode like a man possesed and caught up with him, again superb riding

The Rossi’s Pit Board went out P1 Padrosa > 1.3
Over the next 2 laps that gap went out to 3 seconds,..

Apart from f__k up with engine or loose electrical whatever,. This was an awesome display of riding that we sometimes do not really appreciate because we ‘expect’ it from Rossi, which is also a little disrespectful of the other riders. To be fair if Rossi wasn’t there we would be looking at Padrosa, Stoner, Hayden, Cappers et all saying, My Goodness what wonderful riders they are,. And indeed we would be right

It’s just Rossi has that extra ‘FEEL’ for his skill, as did Doohan, Roberts, Rainey, Gardener, Joey

I didn't really used to like or watch Moto GP much a while back but now i've really got into it and wouldn't actually like Valentino Rossi to mvoe to F1 anymore. He's got a lot more competition this year and it looks as if he's not gonig to run away with it into the distance again like he has done for the past few years. Can you imagine how easily Rossi would win races in World Superbike?! Lol, and that's hard enough for most riders as it is! Look at Troy Bayliss for example!
