His Valencia test was cancelled. I don't know if it was by him or the team. He was in the Tech 3 pit box during the race weekend.

By the team.

They didn't want him doing with so much media attention about, leaving it till the Sepang test.

It's a crappy excuse.

Garh, how many times do i have to post it..

He was never scheduled to test @ Valencia.. His first test will take place at Sepang and he will be on his own with no competition or media exposure.. It's so there's 'no pressure' and he can just relax into it..

But mainly it's so no one can find out how ..... he does

ducks for cover

again if it wasnt for stoner, the ducati and bridgestone would be a .... bike and the hondas and michelins are clearly the best

Off all the times, the one that has surprised me the most is RdP ... VERY impressive ... I haven't read anything to say that his time was set on a qualifier?! His late season run of form has carried over to his new team/bike/tyres! The fact that it is a minor satellite team is even more impressive!

Read this on crash.net ... " ... My decision to move to LCR for 2008 is already paying dividends; the team is like a family," he declared. I hope for his sake it isn't a quick Vegas wedding with an ugly divorce around the corner!
<

As for #27 or is that now #1, the season and show continues! Seems like he is just riding this years bike with a few minor tweaks ... I hope Ducati don't do a 2003 to 2004 Revolution of their current bike ... I hope they have learnt that when you are on a good thing stick to it!

Was marco on capirossi's old bike or one with the stoner set-up?

Very good question! Maybe on one with no setup at all...

These bikes are pretty salient ..... I doubt whether they would have put Marco on an unknown setup ... he would have have had a pretty good idea what he wanted even before he sat on the thing.

He would have to get used to the inherent properties of the bike though ... as does any rider. eg. power delivery, weight distribution feel etc.

But .... it was the 07 bike .. I assumed it was just made of Capi's old bits and pieces.

If Stoner was not at Ducati it would still be the fastest bike in a straight line, the new rules would still have improved the bike and if they had signed Melandri instead you would be looking at a different world champion.
