OK its not my imagination... super slo-mo on Nicky's rear was definitely tread in middle slick shoulders... wassup? I thought there were no inters anymore...

They were the full wets Nicky was on,

They don't use inters anymore,

Which I think is stupid as Cal said on the feed I watched,

I believe the argument is that bridgestone would have to transport:

Slicks hard and soft

Inters hard and soft

And Full wets hard and soft making a logistical nightmare to carry so many tyres for all the teams.

However a couple of us here have talked about it and come up with a solution,

If bridgestone took exactly what they carry now and a couple of tyre cutting machines, far less to transport than a full allocation of inters for the grid,

And if inters are required the team takes a tyre out of it's slicks allocation and has it cut to make the inter, Problem sorted!

A set pattern on the cutter, no exceptions, so no one can argue!

What happens if it goes dry again after they have cut the slicks?

They have to glue all the little cut out bits back in with special space shuttle glue not yet discovered by man.

Good quali I thought. I was sure Stoner had pole but no, he ended up third. Great ride by Cal to get 4th, that was about the best he could hope for today I thought. Great ride by Pedrosa, sadly too late for the championship though.

I read that it could be a wet race tomorrow, that should shake things up some. I am looking forward to it, looks to be a good circuit with plenty of overtaking action I hope.

Well Lyria I am looking forward to a James Ellison win !

heart says...

not really caring right now

Lorenzo runs the perfect race. Soo ultra smooth that it is boring.

Pedrosa gives up and settles for 2nd

Stoner 3rd

I'm not sure Lorenzo's style is boring. More so the bike he rides is.

Even when Vale rode the Yamaha it near never moved offline.

Even with Cal & Dovi, the rear doesn't step out too often like the Honda & Ducati tend to.

Honda seem to have an acceleration advantage & Yamaha an electronics advantage.

Ducati just have an oversteer & front end washout advantage.

I think Pedro will win this one. Repsol and Dorna will not allow Casey to win in Valencia. It must be a Spanish show. Easy money from the bookies today imo.

Given that I am watching and drinking with Wills this weekend I second that as a very accurate and probable prediction.

Well if you're both right it will be something special given where he qualified, somewhere near the back as I recall. Stranger things have happened though I am sure, but that would be a hell of a ride.

You got more chance of being bitten by a dinosaur while walking in the park than the above happening Lyria !!!!!

Let you into a secret Lyria...we weren't being serious.

We are on the other hand strong in the conviction that a returning revitalised Hiro Aoyama will steal away from the pack. In a show of deft control and great finesse will win the race in commanding style ensuring not only Japanese presence on the podium this year but Japanese presence on this forum this afternoon in the form of and equally incentivised Super Shitya 56.

That depends where you live. I have crocodile habitated waters 300m from my front door.

That's close enough to a dinosaur for me!

Yes, their ancestors probably ate dinosaurs, and I believe they are the most likely animal to eat people.

Well how was I meant to know? I mean you know I'm new to all of this and I thought you might know something really good that I didn't!

Makes a mental note not to trust either of you again on things like this

VS this.........

This guy lives on a farm down the road from my joint, he was captured in a creek up the road from my joint. He has lots of cousins still in the rivers, creeks and on the beaches.

I'd rather take my chances with the maggots rather than go swimming with the reptile.
