Fair enough man. But again, I think you take this .... too seriously. I like ....... with Tommy cause of his indefensible positions. Gems like: "Kevin Schwantz is overrated" & his recent gem "500 two strokes are user friendly."

This, perhaps reaffirms what a condescending gobshite young Thomas the .... Engine(eer) tends to be, and is exactly the sort of attitude that alienates so many.

Tom, try PMing #22 - he is very knowledgeable on the subject both in terms of theory and application and may well be able to point you in the right direction for your assignment.

I'm honoured!!!

funny how he's "supposed" to be in his second or third year into a degree course yet such subjects in 2 stroke lubrication would be covered in the first few weeks of a college course

sniff sniff

Two stroke technology isn't taught in automotive engineering here, it isn't often applied in industry so it would be a waste of our time. As it hapens i chose the topic for a tribology assignment i'm doing for my masters. Thats why i'm looking for textbooks and academic papers rather than sources of general knowledge, which like you say is pretty widely known/easy stuff.

Anyways, thanks to those of you with productive input. I appreciate it

If you are 'knowledgeable' enough to make this statement Tom, surely you must know a little something about 2 strokes? Certainly more than the basics for which you're asking!
