Right, so i'm undertaking an assignment on the lubrication of two stroke engines and i know they get talked about reasonably often around here. If anyone has any resources they can point me to; studies, books, articles or even respectable websites it'd be really useful. Cheers to anyone who helps me out

Am I reading this correctly? Know-it-all Tom is asking for help?? Is this a ploy just to make HIMSELF feel happy that we are willing to acknowledge his asking for help? There's got to be a catch somewhere here especially when he claims to be an engineer and is asking for help on a simple design of a 2stroke motor and how he doesn't just usually go to his friend Mr. Google to find the answer as he always does. I smell something fishy going on here, it's either Jumkies bad breath or Tom is looking for some form of sympathy.

Tom, you ain't fooling me..... you really are full of yourself.

This was originally written in the late seventies, but the latest revisions haven't changed much from the original . This author is golden. Give it a try if you can find a copy.

funny how he's "supposed" to be in his second or third year into a degree course yet such subjects in 2 stroke lubrication would be covered in the first few weeks of a college course

maybe its to lubricate something else and then go for the full service.

Alright, I'll bite and take Tom at face value... Tom, try PMing #22 - he is very knowledgeable on the subject both in terms of theory and application and may well be able to point you in the right direction for your assignment.

We all know Tom's faults well enough but does he really deserve the vilification he's received on this thread? Kicking the .... outta someone when they are trolling or being purposefully obstinate is fine by me but the dude's just asking for some help here...

The infinite difference, to me, is that SS and Tom have never come close to the insidious and vile act of PMing someone and threatening them and/or their family as has Pink and his alter egos. That sort of behaviour deserves the full wrath of the forum and its members. SS and Tom can be annoying dicks, even ........ in some instances but I have no problem answering a question of theirs forthright and honestly. Now if they come back with some sort of dickwad reply - game's on!
 
Well the book I recommended to tom is only a collaboration of articles and may have afew about the subject he is requesting. I honestly believe if he read the whole thing he will actually learn something other than pretending to know everything.

BTW I posted in the "live feed" that I had a link for a GP race and for people to PM me for it. I received one from of all members Pinky. I was really tempted to pop him a corrupted link, but it was just that the race was about to start.
