That's too bad for them, however it does open the door for Miami, Florida. Great weather (as long as it is not hurricane season) a plethora of venues. and easily accessible for me.

And what world class venue do you have? Daytona?

This a a HUGE loss to moto gp, Istanbul Park is an amazing track which makes for ace racing.

Huge loss for the sport.

That is a massive shame, the best new circuit for ages and one of the most enjoyable additions to the calender for ages and its gone already. What a shame.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (roger-m @ Apr 19 2007, 09:09 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>yes it's a shame,but now they wont need to drop either china or losal to make way for a 2nd american gp.

i'd rather lose either of those instead of turkey, or idealy lose none of them and go to america land just the once.

They should have stopped one of the spanish ones or Donington. (BTW I like Donington it's really easy to get to)

WTF, are you looking for a fight, stop donny..,over my dead body.
what are you saying man, i think you may have been out in the sun to long.

The thought of not having a race in the UK is rediculous, its just not gonna happen. Valencia is pretty weak, but it makes plenty on money so it'll stay.

I said Donny because of the poor facilities and nothing to do in the evenings if you're camping. The track's good and the showers were ok but the rest........

Last year's race at this track was brilliant although weren't they all!

Honda will probably be a bit annoyed as there bike always seems well suited to the track.

What tracks could replace it?

Indy, USA - Hopefully not
Monaco - somehow i doubt it!
Spa Francorchamps - bikes around Eau Rouge would be cool!
Fuji, Japan - quite a good track on Gran Turismo!
Miami - would be a nice place for a GP!
Are there any good tracks in the scandanavian countries?

If any spanish GP goes it will be Catalunya, although they will most likely all stay. Jerez and Valencia just seem set in stone at the start and end of the season. Although i personally think Valencia is the worst track of the 3.

Donington is the best UK track.

I doubt they would run two southern races and give catalunya nothing.

I passionately disagree. Brands hatch grand prix circuit is amongst the worlds best circuits, and unfortunately donington is ruined by that end section of track.

The end bit of donnington although it seems bad is actually good. It provides many exciting finishes to the races, e.g 2006 Moto GP Rossi and Melandri fighting for P2 and the 2007 WSB Race 2 Biaggi and Haga.

Brands Hatch is not a bad track, probably the 2nd best track in the UK but the racing there is never particularly exciting compared to donington.

No way, all three of ast years gp races were drawn out, but the british and world superbikes never ever fails to be a thriller at brands.
