the thundersprint is a annual event,its basically about classic racing bikes norton triumph bsa etc etc.and they race round a closed track which is lined with straw bales ???? and race against the clock.bear in mind that most of these bikes are 50-60 if not more years old.leon haslam was riding a old ducati..the sunday of the event attracted over 100,000 people and the best bit is its all free to watch..its well worth a visit if any of you lot can get to it..
Sounds a lot like the island classic they have at PI. Except they got proper kitty litter.
They clock some pretty fast times considering the dinosaurs they`re on. A lot of technical problems, though. Race prepped 50 year old motors aren`t exactly the definiton of reliability.
Guys like Wayne Gardiner and Paul Smart race there. Sheene was pretty into classic racing before he passed on too, I think.
