Thoughts and Opinions

Any of you guys watch the vid in that link?

I was pissed off at how the cops handled the whole saga. I think they should be brought up in front of a judge and should change their tactics.
There is no way that the pursuit should have been allowed to continue. The Police already knew the identity of the rider and they had more than enough video evidence to hang him out to dry in the first couple of miles.

The nutter biker is a gobshite, but the same could be said of the unmarked police rider who rode just as recklessly keeping up with him. Its unacceptable the danger they brought to other road users. It seems clear to me that the police rather than nip this in the bud they wanted to .... him as much as possible to send a serious warning to the bike community.

IMO The biker got what he deserved and I would'nt have felt sorry for him if he gotten worse, but the cops were just as dangerous/reckless in their handling of the situation

Man he was taking some stupid risks. I agree with you the law should have just pulled him over A.S.A.P.

IMO this is the law taking advantage of its positioning to serve and protect. Since he was not in pursuit in order to stop the rider, and he at many times almost caused accidents, the bike cop himself should be fined for all the same violations.

Say a innocent motorist goes to legally pass another, and gets rammed by a unmarked officer in pursuit without its lights and sirens blaring. I'd say lawsuit!!!!

hmmmm - he was riding like a bit of a .... to be fair.

there was no pursuit as such. the guy may not have even realised he was being followed so we can't say they should have called off the chase because the cops prescence had no influence on his riding.

if it's evidence they wanted then they had enough to have him banned after about 5 miles so i agree that they should have backed off because it's not safe to be riding at that kind of pace - again, if the cop had killed someone.........

a marked car should have been called in and they should have thrown the book at him there and then.

i think the cop took more risks that the person he was following. if that biker was riding so dangerously fast then why did the copper stay with him. there were several oppitunitys were he could have been stopped but the police chose to race him instead. i think that was bad police work and the police motorcyclist should get a bollocking for that.
