Sure, but it would have been equally great if Capirossi, Melandri or Pedrosa won it. Oh .... I guess I just denoted your boy to 5th best on the grid, sorry about that.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Judging from your take on it, I guess you didn't enjoy all those DNFs and injuries from great riders... say the last 20+ seasons?
Otherwise perhaps riders like Biaggi, Sete, etal., would have been challenging your boy rather than visiting the gravel and making all those seasons your boy won as: un-exciting and un-fantastic, since you only tuned in to see the “racing”… Uhm, call me crazy but I think many times there have been crashes and injuries by very great riders, but it just seems that when your boy ended up on top, well I guess those were the more exciting seasons...

It's not about single craches and single incidents, it's about massive lack of competition on the top level. When we are missing 2 to 3 of the top racers in the fight for a large part of the season. That's something we haven't seen for a long time.
I find club racing exciting as well, but I expect som more when I watch MotoGP.

You can "denote" him to last if you like in your mind, the reality is he's still number 1.

Interesting, so anybody except Hayden. I see, you are a "real" fan of the sport. Aren't you the one that doesn't like DNFs and crashes? Sounds like you would have been bored had those guys won. Your arguement is increasingly childish, and you coming out with this one really shows you are a typical hater, nothing more.

To put those guys above hayden just shows how clearly your judgement is clouded by your bias. Crashes asside all of these riders made too many weak performances to be the champion. When "the bridgestones didn't work" (notice how this hit the ducatis way worse than other teams) capirossi made some very poor rides. Melandri was just plain inconsistent, finishing bottom half of the top ten a week after taking wins and podiums, and pedrosa made some rookie mistakes (as is expected) like falling off in turkey from an easy spot, and catalunya of course.

Of course you might like these guys, and i do too, they are some of my favorite guys out their. But besides that, they did not perform well enough over the entire season. If you think Hayden was the 5th best rider this year you may as well not watch 2007 since the results have no effect on your perception.
