Suter Racing to build new 500cc GP bikes

Don't think it'd be allowed in europe now, they've come down hard on manufacturers of 2 stroke machinery

100hp US-RCV anyone? :ninja:

(Good think Lex isn't around, eh 22?)

Is that all they have?
Europe is bad too, they so called limit bikes to 100hp. Even my stock BB has 167hp (at the crank, will be more like 220 when its finished being fettled, or about 200 at the rear wheel. Then it'll be off to Donnington for a track day.)

Just curious, how much HP do you plan on using beyond the 167 at Donny?

I won't be riding it, got a racing friend whose 30 years younger than me and he has already tried it in stock he said it was poor as the acceleration isn't there. Now a days on track I ride my cb500 its more than fast enough for me lol.

And you use Lotus in your name :black eye:

Geez, the crowd in here is a bit dead.

It's a joke, relax.

Sadly, its British pedigree is consigned to the past and it's largely under Malaysian ownership now.

Indeed.

But you've also got to distinguish the car division now from the F1 racing endeavors. Team Lotus as it existed under Colin Chapman and after his death ceased operations permanently at the end of the 1994 season. They are dead and buried.

Well actually let me correct that, the spirit of Colin Chapman's Team Lotus lives on through his son, Clive Chapman's Classic Team Lotus outfit which operates solely to restore and maintain every Team Lotus race car and F1 car that still exists. In addition they keep the history of Lotus alive which is always a great thing. You can go on tours of their shop as well. Had he lived, Colin would be 87 this year.

Speaking of the British pedgree and their oceanic counterparts, I dropped the bacon sandwich when I read about the beastly shenanigans that have surfaced.

Totally worth $184,000.

lol

Seriously, anyone who buys that instead of trying to find a used Desmosedici RR should be shot in the head.

The used Desmos show up on eBay on occasion. AFAIK, the maintenance on them, while more than your average monster, is no where near as ridiculous as the Honda is.

You'll also get far more looks on that thing than the Honda.
