I like your choice in the poll. Yeah, I agree, it takes two very awesome disciplines: roadracing & motocross, and combines them...really, what's not to love about it!

Mate, totally agree with the sentiment that SMoto is the best form of two wheeled motorcycle sport around and have felt this this I first saw and officiated a supermoto meet a few years back. For me I find the competitors less serious, more fun and far more approachable and when you combine that atmosphere with the noicse, general close racing, the sideways action as well as the pure artistry of watching it done well on tar and dirt, well I like you wonder why people haven't flocked in droves.

That said, sadly in Oz it is a very small discipline of an already very small sport (motorcycle racing) and the general public has no idea nor concept of what SMoto involves.

When I have talked people into watching they have all loved it but sadly even the national series in this country suffers.
