Stoners 07 Championship Ducati up for auction.

This GP7 was originally part of a private collection and was professionally rebuilt in 2023. Still has the original frame, tamper proof metal stickers, the original scrutineering sticker from the 2007 Spanish GP, and is in good running condition without the need for factory support.

Looks like it didn't sell when the auction lot closed a few days ago. Now it has a BIN price of $520,000 USD (£413,000 GBP)

The GP7 is the most beautiful of Ducati's GP bikes, and not just because it was a winner. The front fairing has excellent proportions and the bike has good intangibles, featuring Ducati's steel trellis design and hailing from an era before aerodynamic wings, bore limits, control tires, etc.

Surprised this is only going for $500K, considering the scrutineering sticker from Catalunya, which is widely regarded as one of the era's best races.

Thats a lot I think, its been restored but not by the factory, and these things are prototypes made with custom parts, so its not like it is original. What do you do with it? display it? ride it? the cost to maintain it, even if it just sits would be more money then its worth.
