Still awaiting his Fate

Stuff like this makes him look so stupid, and it can't be clever to say horrible things about Ducati and Bayliss, if they need a rider anytime soon he might not be high on the list.

he's spending too much time with Carl me thinks

IIRC he started the firefight with Foggy by saying he couldn't have beat Doohan, didn't he? I'm liking the Hodge less and less these days

yes - i think Neil (MCN) pretty much started that little tiff

i don't get it. why would the hodge say crap like this? bayliss is the last guy in racing who would object to who ever his teamate was. he's a standup strait shooter & that's totally outa character. i think maybe he's confused troy with max.

I've had this conversation with Richo - I can't understand why he would say it either - Unless it's true ?

Bayliss replied 'I should be flattered that Neil thinks I'm in the position to say who I do or don't ride with.............' (or words to that effect !)

personally - I don't think Troy would need to be worried about Neil - he'd beat him anyway IMO

I guess we'll never know

Here here, like ive said before, hes a stupid pommy sook!

He should shut his mouth and do the talking on the track... Oh wait, he wont be on the track because hes not going to have a ride.. shame shame...

i knew it was coming but it's a shame............

Team Foggy will almost certainly not compete in this year’s World Superbike Championship after being left off the official 2007 entry list.

The team, owned by four-time world champion Carl Fogarty, were in talks to run a two-bike squad on either Ducati or MV Augusta machinery, following their split from long-time backer Petronas.

But Ducati told the Brit in November that time had run out for a deal, and with MV Augusta announcing that the LBR team would run a single-bike effort with some factory backing for Austrian Christian Zaiser, Foggy's days would appear to be numbered.

If that is the case, it almost certainly means that 2003 world champion Neil Hodgson will spend the season on the sidelines.

I would have thought that Carl and his team, with Neil as a rider could make themselfes into a very smart British superbike team indeed. Its not the world champs, but its better than sitting at home for a year, and it could have been enough for Hodgeson to show his worth.

Yeah but Foggy a do-or-die stubborn ....... who wouldn't settle for "just" a BSB team. You can tell MV are doing it on a budget if they chose some team with Zaiser over Foggy's team with Hodgson. But I'm of the opinion that Hodgson has got what's coming to him, and Foggy is no altar boy, either.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (richo @ Jan 25 2007, 08:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Hodgson has got what's coming to him..........

would that have anything to do with him blaming Baylistic for the Ducati doors slamming in his face then ?

I would say Neil has been pretty un-lucky and it's going to be a shame to see him sitting on the sidelines while the likes of Lanzi are coasting around.

Yeah, locks. I'm a Bayliss fan, and I saw Hodgson's "comments" as unfounded, desperate, spineless excuses. Is it wrong to stick up for your favourite rider? Or will you be submitting yourself to Jumkie's pro-Hayden arguments?

Not at all - that's what fans do. For all I quite like Hodge - I think saying things like that (if he did actually say them ?
<
) makes you look like a bit of a prick.
<

Regardless - it's a shame to see good riders 'sitting it out' - and as others have said - I would love to see Hodgie -v- Walker (again) in BSB

It's time for Walker to set the records straight.
<

Err - don't ever ask me to agree with Mr Doughnut.

If I recall, a few Rossi fans haven't been all to kind to mr. Hayden when he won the championship this year. Look, the thing is, I never thought the Hodge was as hot as a lot of people made him out to be, but I still liked him, I read a fairly detailed article about his career, and in interviews he always came across as pretty down to earth. But to come out and attack my favorite racer like that really hits a nerve. I don't like Hodgson anymore. That might seem unreasonable to you, but would you easily forgive, say, Marco Melandri if he came out when Rossi lost the title with some crap like "Well, Rossi deserved to lose it because he's too cocky these days."? Just coming out with some senseless, sore-loser type stuff against Bayliss really riled me. And for the record, the comments were written on Hodgson's diary on his website, I refused to belive it until I read them there myself, because I was under the impression that Hodgson was a decent, honest guy. Now, I can't help feeling that I've been misled.

i'll have some of this..... would be priceless!

Eh tu Brute?

(I thought we were friends Richo)

Oh, we are, Jumkie. Just trying to relate the whole "Defend your favorite rider" thing. Yuo and Locks seem to be pretty good at it.

Hopkins went faster than Hayden.

Had to throw that in there lol!!

It sucks that Neil is out of a ride this season.
The guy is a solid rider with a championship under his belt. (Although some people dont like to give him credit, does that sound familiar?)

The guy is better than half the riders out there on any given Sunday.
