I'm telling ya, they're all knacker'd right now stumbling around the circuit having fun.
The Eagle landed after a three-hour delay. Weather in Newark saw us parked inside the plane at the gate for three hours. It was ok though, because Levi & Gator were in first class, so their backs are fine. The had enough champagne and caviar to make Robin Leach proud. However, I was in coach, next to an Indian old lady who insisted in elbowing me in the ribs all 9 hours.
Arrive at 10:30, then proceeded in looking for the rental car for half-hour in the parking lot. It appears proper signage is not high priority in the UK. Though I must say, it’s a beautiful country. Everybody has this cool ... accent. I honestly wouldn't mind people cussing me out as long as they do it in Brit.
We finally find the car after walking the Earth. Levi and Gator reminding me the whole way how luxuriously insane their flight was, or as they put it; "Jumkie, it was over the top crazy!"
40 mins later, thanks to the greatest GPS ever with a smoking hot sexy voice, we arrive at Silverstone. We proceed to walk the Earth trying to meet up with Arrabi who has our tickets. We finally give it and tell him, hey, we can't get to Club Corner, can u just meet us at Becketts? 20 minutes later, Arabi, Wilski, Little Red Rocket show up. Gator and Rocket smoke some Cali meds, and just like that, the meet up begins. A few minutes later, enter BassPete and then Tom.
Holy ...., better than I expected. The crew is the coolest group of guys on the planet. Hugs all around. Pete is smashed off his .... Every body having fun and everybody happy.
Totally amazing track! It started raining a bit and got, by Cali standards, very cold, but I didn't really mind it as everybody had smiles from ear to ear. That and Pete was keeping me warm. FP2 was the ..... I like this place, the people totally get it here. There’s this guy in front of us by himself in the rain, hardcore, the peeps here are after my own heart. Kindred spirits, as they seem to get the magnificent beauty of MotoGP.
A few notes, my phone gets no reception, the UK only has one cash machine in the country, as we literally walked around for 2 hours looking for one, and internet access sucks.
But I’m having the time of my life and so are the boys. Levi keeps trying to advance his agenda that I’m the ....... of the forum, but I’m getting hugs and kisses from everybody I meet. Its ok, he PMs me regularly to asks me to tell people .... off for him, cuz he doesn’t have the balls to tell them himself. Hehehe.
We’re now back at Arrabi’s. Finally have some WiFi. We’re downing the Woods while Arrabi makes us some gourmet food. Watching FP1 on TV. It’s a great weekend so far, and its only day one!
