This is mostly targeted at Krop, but anyone else with paddock access chime in.

I think if Journos ask leading/speculative questions, rumour can become reality (Stoner retirement saga, though not a great example)

Here's some (very presumptuous) questions I'd like asked:

To Lucio Ceccinello: "Would you prefer Rea or Redding to be on the production racer you're getting from Honda?"

To Fausto Gresini: "Would you prefer Rea or Redding to be on the production racer you're buying from Honda?"

Who would be your ideal replacement for Alvaro out of all available riders?

What have you done to help develop Italian talent?"

To Nicky Hayden "If Ducati offered you the Panigale in SBK with 5 GP wild cards, would you take it? If they kept your salary the same and guaranteed u a 2015 factory GP bike?"

To Carmelo: "when is moto2 going to 500cc twins?

Pls add more guys, the press conference questions are usually awful. Gavin Emmet responded to one of my tweets, I'm gonna try him again. If your an obsessed fan, you should too.

From the part of my brain the loves prototypes I would be interested in seeing this switch, but I'd hate to see it become like Moto3... Where you basically have to have a factory KTM in order to be competitive...

I'd rather see a Dorna branded (rotax or something) inline triple engine so that way it might actually appeal to manufactures who want to develop a chassis...

Factories would never race in Moto2 with a Honda engine... but if there is a 'brand-less' engine...  maybe?

Gavin Emmet can be reached via his email direct. Just google him and find his page. I wrote him about a year ago and he responded in less than 24 hours with a very detailed personal reply.

May I answer the Nicky one? 'Hypothetically yes, but Ducati didnt offer him anything. Ducati cut ties, and didnt give much
thought about him and their struggling Wsbk effort.'

Actually. I think I can answer all these question: 1. Redding 2. Redding. 3. Redding (if he were Italian or Spanish we already would have signed him). 4. Yes, but nothing was offered. 5. Never.

Good questions Clarky. Here are a couple I would ask (assuming we could give these guys a truth serum) : Carmelo, are u using Wsbk as a test bed to force out all the manufacturers to then leverage your power in GP?

Carmelo, do u recognize these names? Beaubier Gerloff Beach Gagne Lewis Herrin?

Gresini, are u ready to sign a non Euro with talent?

Herve, how did u decide to sign Bradley to a 3 year deal? Was Crutchlow's rookie or last year's performance have anything to do in that decision?

Lin Jarvis, who do u think will replace Rossi?

Nakamoto, the Spanish quota Carmelo has imposed obviously will not apply to u, so which lower category Spanish rider are u waiting for to replace Pedrosa?

Nakamoto, how much would Bradl have to improve to get paid by HRC or is having a HRC supported GP bike payment enuf for non - Spaniards?

Crutchlow, how much of ur decision to go to Ducati was purely economical vs performance potential vs our shared dislike of Spaniard machinates?

Lin Jarvis, how much did u tell Herve to offer Crutchlow? How much was Pol offered?

Race Direction, are any of your decisions to penalize or sanction a rider based on safety? Where have u placed the points warning system? Will it ever apply to factory riders, or are u just saving it for non Spanish and CRT riders?

Carmelo, now that Audi is poised to invest in Ducatis GP effort, when will u direct Bridgestone to make a performance leveling tire to suit the GP14. Is the new "softer" tire part of this plan?

Jum,

You're the best! There are some good ones in there ;)

On the Nicky stuff:

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport/sportresults/MotoGP/2013/August/aug0913-ducati-keen-to-see-hayden-in-wsb/

Bologna factory boss Paolo Ciabatti told MCN: “We still have a very good relationship with Nicky and we would like to find a solution to keep him in the Ducati family. On the other side we felt it was time for a change after five years and this is why we decided not to exercise the option we had in his contract and to be fair to him we told him what the situation was so that he could look for other opportunities in MotoGP or consider the possibility to stay with us in World Superbikes.

He’s declared he would like to find a solution to stay in MotoGP and this point it is more on him to explore what opportunities he has and then we can see if there is something we can do to keep him with us.”

Good work Clarky. Hadnt read that. I wonder if keeping him in tbe family means Wsbk or test rider? Also if Nicky is considering a production racer (what ever that means) I thought Duc was interested in doing something like this, would they call on Nick? Lets face it, they need every good development input as possible barring a Bstone special.

Another question for Carmelo: did u see the Wsbk races at Silverstone? So Tom Sykes, on Perrellis no less, would have comfortably qualled on front half of the GP grid with his superbike spec Kawasaki ZX10, how happy does it make u feel that u have now turned Wsbk into a stock racing series for 2014? Does it make u laugh when the jounalists ask u questions and believe all ur ........, only for the supposed conspiracy theorist's prediction to come true, as it has for Wsbk? Do u laugh in the office later when u realize you have managed to get naive unsuspecting journalists to present the messaging you have carefully crafted and disiminate it for u?

Also, what have u learned from the Perelli 'variable performance random system of allotment' they have in Wsbk? Do u plan on using any such tactics in GP or will u continue to go with simply telling everybody CRTs get a special performance leveling tire? Will u employ such tactics to help Ducati by introducing more "options"?

Thumbs are up on those questions Jumkie. Now to find someone with the balls to actually ask them. Ezzy thinks he is safe in his protected world but even Bill Gates managed to get a cream pie in the face so I still have hope.

The MSMA want GP to be the pinnacle. The SBK teams can't afford to pay for the current bikes. The FIM doesn't like bad PR and uncomfortable meetings with insurance company stooges every time someone is hurt or killed.

The only people in the paddock who might like the current state of tune are the riders, and the non-GP manufacturers. The riders have no where else to go, and most of them aren't getting paid particularly well. The non-GP manufacturers have probably realized that the sportbike market isn't recovering, and they can't continue to spend on factory teams in WSBK.

SBK has been going faster and faster, but it isn't earning more money and it isn't delivering for the participants. If the fans start up with their absolutist proclamations, WSBK will suffer the same fate as AMA. Learn a lesson from the Brits. BSB cut costs. No meltdown amongst the teams or fanbase. Everyone got on with their jobs, and the series is doing well.

The race will have been run and won long before Jum has spat out the actual question.

My question would be to Nicky Hayden ;

"Yo dude, Nicky....... like dude, heard you getting sacked this year, is that true?  And like, what are you gonna do after motorcycles?  You should totally be a skateboarder or surfer dude........ dude."

SS

Your pretty funny and lately youve been on a roll (although this particular post is a little weak)

Seriously answer this question.

Would you ever attend a GP that had a PS meetup?

You are pretty much a legend around here and whether you realize it or not would be treated just like everyone else.

Hmmmm....... I'll think about going to one of these PS family meetup's only if that one UK dude with the cute daughter brings her along as he did in one of the past outings!  Who knows....... I might become a part of his real family too.  :yahoo:
