Going with a couple of friends to the Sachsenring in July 2019. Have a couple of questions that may be answered by those who already attended the race. What is certain is that we will be flying to Berlin on friday, gping back on monday and will only attend the race day.
1. General admissions vs 1 of the cheaper stands? I am a big moto gp fan, and wouldnt mind forking up for one of the fan club or nicer stands....but the rest of the group arent really into motogp that much and are only willing to spend a certain ammount on the tickets. Are the standing areas really that bad?
2. Will probaby be flying to Berlin on friday morning, renting a car and either a) going on sunday morning from berlin to the ring, which is a 270 km drive or b) sleeping on saturday somewhere near the ring ( Leipzig, Chemnitz, Dresden,....) and gping to the race on sunday morning from there. I am leaning to going from Berlin, since the 3 hour drive is ok for me, but I am woried about the traffic jam on the autobahn? Is it common, is it rational to go that way...or is there a big chance we might miss the race? I have experinced jams nearer Munich and the Austrian border....and if that is common for this route....not so sure if its smart. Or should we go to sleeping 1 nght before the race somewhere near and going back to Berlin after it is over?
