I am glad that it is looking more unlikly because as stated in the MCN yesterday He is a motorcyclist at heart and battling with riders like Pedrosa and Stoner may make him stay
well Rossi has competition right now...he probably feels that he can't leave Motogp IF he looses the championship. He is the type that must go out on top.

i myself cant see rossi giving up this season as the new 800cc rules come into force in 07,an ive read that rossi has been asking yamaha to test the new 800cc machine why would he want to do that if there is a possible move to f1 ???
as it as been mentioned before in ere rossi is the type of guy to go out on top,so i cant see him giving the championship to someone else to then move to a whole different way of racing an it would be like taking two steps back.driving a car is totally different from riding a bike never mind racing the things,an to go to f1 would take a couple of years to master before any championship win if any ????
He didn`t ask Yamaha to test it, he told them he would be testing it..... typical Rossi
Another thing to consider now, especially for the Rossi fans like you, Gary (And for me because I only staterd wathing GPs when Rossi was winning, so I dont know a world without Rossi) is that he`s not invincible anymore, his bikes a peice of crap, his luck is even worse, and I suspect his confidence will start to fail soon. Even if he wants to go out on top, he might not be able to. With Stoner and Pedrosa so fast so quickly, Melandri and Hayden forming a new vetrans club, the age of Rossi could very well be passing, even if he sticks it out for a few more years. But its also possible that Yamaha pull their fingers out, he gets back to it and wins again. And then take to an 800 like he did a 990 from a 500. Or a Honda to a Yamaha. He`s very adaptable. I dont wanna commit to any prediction because I really belive anything is possible. All I can really say is "thank God I`m a Bayliss fan"

He's usually pretty right when he does that, too.
Why should I be sorry for him? the guy is a mediocre rider and gets to race in MotoGP with a Ducati Desmosedici!!! And gets paid for it!!! And his girlfriend is incredibly hot!!!
