It's been announced that Kawasaki will field a third machine piloted by Roger Lee Hayden at Laguna Seca. It is also rumored that the youngest Hayden will ride for Kawasaki MotoGP again at a European round as well, the season finale at Valencia is the most likely destination.

Wouldn't be half bad to see, i've only ever seen glimpses of RLH's riding ... hes pretty strong and consistent, no?

Be interesting to see how he goes stacked up against West, considering Ant will be learning the Laguna circuit..

Seems a bit random to me, but perhaps the powerful people know something i don't

Not too bad Katt how about yourself?

Roger's riding is definitely strong but his consistency isn't great. He struggled to finish SBK races last year because he had this tendancy to pitch it away. Then he'd switch over to the 600 and fight for wins and championships no problem. This year he's been less consistent on the 600 and surprisingly stringing together some decent results on the SBK when the Kawsaki feels like working properly. Not at the same level as Nicky but given the right machinery could be one of the top prospects in the US.

To clarify the news, his name was placed on the wildcard entry list as the deadline just passed but no official decision has been made between Kawasaki and Roger as to whether or not he'll actually ride. Another classic piece of reporting from MCN. Roger said that there hasn't been much communication to him as to what is happening and his interest level isn't too high. The AMA boys have a month off before the next round at Laguna so Kawasaki would like him to fly to Japan in that time to test the ZX-RR and get a feel for what's happening. Sounds as though RL is apprehensive to take on too much when he already has a SBK and Supersport machine to sort. He also said riding those two classes and MotoGP at Laguna does not appeal to him in the slightest. Although he did say he would enjoy having his first ride at a place he knows in Laguna.

Suzuki need to give Spies a wildcard ride at Laguna too. That would make my day/week/...season?

I agree, neither of the other Haydens are on Nicky's level but they're both talented for sure!

Interesting news. Kawasaki seems to be stepping up there efforts in MotoGP. I feel for Tommy though, I think had he stayed with Team Green he would have been the one offered this chance. But I wish all the best for Roger. I don't think he will beat his brother Nicky, but it will be very interesting to see them race against eachother. Now if Suzuki was smart, they would field another bike and offer it to Spies, and see what happens for the hell of it. I think Tommy is the better rider than Roger, but he did get beat by little brother in both races at Miller. Go Hayden! (both)

Is it to early to predict three Americans on the podium at Laguna? Haha, I could only wish.

Not just wish...I'll help you sabotage everyone else's bikes.
