yeah, theres going to be loads of space with 2 rv's going. where are we going to park compa, im thinking i will have to park at the track cos im bringing my kids. If i park elsewhere its going to be difficult getting to the track every day. Can this be booked when buying the guna tix?

We'll mos def be staying at the track. But its delicate art form and balancing act requiring luck and savvy timing. But no worries compa, Laguna is my backyard. I own the mofo. All I need is some hard dates so I can start making arrangements.

ahhh.... i thought so.... but it's always good to ask

does everybody just get 3day general addmission tickets? i went vip in 05 so in the paddock was no problem. what was the situation with gettin in the paddock last year? will i need to buy a paddock pass or just wing it?

I usually get gen admin, but youre free to go VIP. The paddock pass is NOT like Indy, you'll be fighting with hundreds of rabid fans that paid their 60 bucks to get close to the fence where 300 pound event staff guards will block any contact with the riders. VIP Village is the only way to really have any kind of access to the riders. But that is big high roller money like yourself.

They also have lower category VIP suites along turns 3-5, Gatorduc stayed at turn 5 last year and got some excellent pics. CK and I did VIP suite at turn 3 once, but other than the free drinks and just ok food, it wasn't worth it to me. The viewing is limited to 1-2 turns at best.

Do what you feel most comfortable with, we are going to hang out and various times anyway. Personally, I like to watch the race at "Jumkie's Rock" on the hill, with the people. (Plus if Rog brings that hideous tshirt again, you'll need the space incase you become nauseous.

Also, we may be treated to something very special this year guys. I got a big announcement that I need to clear before I make mention of it. All I'll say for now is I may be coming at you guys to open up your pocket books for an opportunity to ante up in support of a very special rider entry.

Tell me about it! I'm still pissed I couldn't make it last year. Add a few months of Moto deprivation and this .... is sounding REAL sweet.

Rog, U still planning to arrive early and do the Touron thing in Cali and Aridzona? I can suggest cool Az. destinations. Lemme know what the family is interested in.

Hum.... Mulling ticket options... http://www.mazdarace...s/tix-USGP_2011

The 3 day admission is a given.

Jum, you've got the stealth-ninja thing down. Should I get a pit pass?

Is there a limit to the number of bikes that can park overnight at a campsite? (I know there's an open invite, but feel it proper to ask if there will be room for one more at the campsite? I promise to bring my share of alcohol!) I'm hoping/planning to ride my old Kwaker to 'Guna and they don't allow overnight general-purpose parking. I'd want to sleep close by anyway, for peace of mind.

This is somewhat worrisome. Do they enforce the MC limit per site?

Jum, do you know if you're planning to drive up Thursday night, or Fri early?

What else should I worry about?

Geo,

Yeah, get a paddock pass. (Its only 60 bucks and worth it.) You won't be rubbing shoulders with any of the GP riders at all, but the silver lining is you can check out the umbrella girls.

Don't worry about parking, I suppose there is a limit, but I once had 7 bikes at my site ("technically" they only give you one support vehicle pass (one car OR two bikes) along with the camp space, but its never been enforced. However, if you feel froggy, you can buy a motorcycle support vehicle pass on craigslist if you so desire the peace of mind.

Space to sleep, hahahaha. You plan on sleeping? Anyway granpa, if you do decide to sleep, yes there is space, i had 30 heads in two spaces one year. (True story, though I will tell you, I got banned for returning, no ........, they blacklisted my name!)

I'm driving up Thursday at around noonish. (That's what I always say, but don't leave till about 2pm.)

The Kwaker gonna be ready?

Btw, what happened to your visit during xmas?

OK, I'll get a Paddock ticket. I remember you smuggling peeps into the paddock, and thought you had secret Ninja powers or something.

Sleep? Why yes, I do plan to at sleep. (Or at least try.) Being an old-ish fart, I need about 6 hours or I become a zombie. I'd rather miss some drunken 3am partying than be miserable the entire weekend. On the flip side, I'll be up and able to cook breakfast for anyone who's appetite survived the night. Hashbrowns with your toothbrush and Jack, Sir?

Hell yes, the turbo dinosaur WILL be in attendance! You gonna trailer a bunch of bikes again?

Didn't mean to dis you a few weeks back! Had car trouble (heater core and hoses) and spent several days fixing instead of travelling. In the end I had just enough time to jet to LA, visit for a day and a half and slog back and prepare for work. I could have stopped by for 10 min to say 'hi' but that seemed sort of a waste of everyone's time.

SINCERE thanks for the organization effort, dude!

Well if not chopperman, I'd guess Arrabbiatta1. However, I can not wager any funds

Time to bump this thread. Should be required reading on PS.

Dear Duc, can we get the pics restored on this thread please? I've got a few PMs from lurkers and newbies who have requested to see the pics. I think it would help show how this community can despite the flame wars eventually reconcile differences and in the end forge lifelong friends.
