Team Roberts brings Las Vegas to MotoGP!
Jerez De La Frontera, Spain, March 22nd 2007.

In a unique all-American collaboration, Kenny Roberts, Sr. and Team Roberts has joined forces with F1 MAX-X and MGM's Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas to increase the popularity of MotoGP in North America starting this weekend at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, Spain.

Huge on-site weekend attendance estimated between 250-300,000 spectators, along with over 300 million television viewers worldwide will see the 2000 World Champion Kenny Roberts, Jr. take to the track in a dramatic new livery scheme, representing a paradigm shift in sports marketing.

F1 MAX-X and MGM's Treasure Island Hotel and Casino along with a number of North American based global corporations, are taking a close interest in the development of MotoGP within the United States.

Kenny Roberts, Sr. said, "We're excited about this development. We are fortunate that we are in this position to introduce these companies to MotoGP. F1 MAX-X represents a unique marketing strategy that has brought all the partners together for this program. We look forward to working with everybody to create additional opportunities that will benefit our new partners, Team Roberts and MotoGP now and in the future."

Alex Copson, President of F1 MAX-X said, "MotoGP is an exciting, trendy sport which parallels the values that Las Vegas represents; adrenalin, drama, glamour and excitement. The two should be united as tens of millions of people visit Las Vegas annually. Teaming with Kenny Roberts will help make MotoGP one of the hottest sports in the US and fits in perfectly with our overall strategy for Las Vegas and motorsport in general. This is a developing relationship, aimed at campaigning a larger program for 2008 onwards!''

but whats with that camel's foot?????

If Gp gets Vegas behind them it can do nothing but help its popularity.Vegas caters to the mega rich.if they get that crowd thinking Moto Gp is the hip thing to do,it will take off like a rocket.

I've been to Vegas...it's hell on earth! It might cater to the mega rich but there's certainly mega poor and mega desperate around there too.

On a different note and a bit off topic....at one race last year Kenny Jr ran with the livery of a 'fake' sponsor because there was a movie being shot with real Motogp in the background. Something of the sort...any ideas what happened to that???

im glad its not just me with these concerns.

If Gp is looking for a money infusion, they have come to the right place. If they are looking for an image enhancer they probably came to the wrong place.Yes there are the Mega poor as you call them, but where have you ever been that there wasnt.Like i said they cater to the mega rich and if they get turned on to the scene, look out.

It certainly does. Does Ben approve of the Black bike? Or does Team KR need to walk the plank?

Hope he can keep it up for quali and the race, he was off the pace in Qatar.
Regarding the colours, I think it's a pretty good idea but if it all goes pear-shaped it will be something to laugh at.
