With all of the top riders contracts coming up after this season, and money being hard to come by, will they be looking at re signing for considerably less than what has been the norm for the last few contract periods. Lets say Stoner wins the title again, can he demand 10+ million per year . can Lorenzo demand 9-10 million a year after going 2 years without a title. If Dani has his normal year, can he demand anything.

Yep, because the rider is the most important component of winning races. Spending money on a bike is pointless if you don't have a rider who can compete on it.

Lorenzo will. He is spanish, highly marketable and the only one close to Stoner.

Seems like the money always follows VR, doubt that it matters if he is competitive or not. His marketability pays for itself.

I wouldn't pay a penny for "The Kentucky Squid" services. But oh wait............. the profit comes from his 'smile' selling bikes, so I guess it might make sense paying him a salary.

What a salesman that Nicky Hayden is.

atleast hayden is doing something and getting paid for it rather than being a prick on the internet

Wonder how much those CRT riders paid for riding those bike with minimal funding..Or are they on "paid ride" just like Vitaly Petrov driving Caterham F1 ?
