<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Terrible terrible news. I'm very sad for the friends and family, especially his parents. I can't imagine how devastated they must feel. I'm with you as far as seeing these young boys ride and race. It really is a thing of beauty. This kid is one of the boys they feature in the promotion commercial. Very sad indeed. So much promise.
I was also gutted when Nicky's cousin was killed. Very sad. Just 10 years old. I don't really know what to think about this. It makes me wonder if its worth it and right to put these kids in such a dangerous predicament.
RIP young lads!
He wanted to be like cousin Nicky and his parents obliged, good for them.He loved what he was doing.

Ethan: It was very common for Ethan to tell us what he wanted to do when he grew up – “I want to be a pro road racer like the boys (cousins- the Hayden brothers).” But two days before his death he made an unusual statement that later led us to see that we could do something to honor him and keep his dedication, drive, determination, and vision alive.
May 3, 2007: “Mamaw, you know what I want to do when I grow up? I want to be a pro racer, like Nicky, and have a team of young kids and help them have fun like we do.”
