Red Bull confirmed on Tuesday that Renault will supply engines to Red Bull Racing next year, while sister team Toro Rosso will be powered by Ferrari. The move signals the end of Red Bull Racing’s two-year agreement with Ferrari - a season early.

Toro Rosso, who this year used rev-limited V10 units from Cosworth, will instead be supplied by the Italian squad.

“We are pleased to be embarking on a new long-term relationship with Toro Rosso,” explained Ferrari CEO, Jean Todt. “It will allow us to strengthen our ties with the world of Italian motor sport and also to work with a team run by Gerhard Berger, our former driver and friend of Ferrari.”

Spyker MF1 will also be powered by Ferrari next season.

A team to watch next year, especially as the car is getting a total makeover by car design specialist Adrian Newey.

Yeah I must admit the paint job that Toro Rosso have had this year has been very dull and the car just looks dirty.

And Adrien would be happy as he designed the car with the renault engine in mind...

I quite liked the torro rosso paint job this year.
