Ranking Marquez's titles

How do they compare and how would you rank them? Personally I have trouble separating them as all are impressive for different reasons. I do believe that if Marquez wins 2/3 of the remaining races it might be the most impressive season ever put together given the climate and closeness of the bikes.
 
His first title was unexpected.

His second, he dominated, winning 10 races on the trot to open the season. This ranks highly for me, the consistency.

The last two have been fought hard against solid competition, on a bike many consider not the best on grid.

My pick is 2014.
 
2015, he stuffed it for Rossi :p :D
Otherwise 2014, 2016,2017,2018, hes the only alien now, the rest need to wake up and smell his exhaust.
 
2014 was by far the most dominant of course but for me the 2016 title was when we witnessed how Marquez was going to handle being the villian in the piece and all the ........ that went with it. Unlike anyone else before him it seemed to give him greater drive, focus and determination. It was a title won by consistency and showed a different side to MM

Every Champion has one specific season that alone shows how great that rider is (or was). One specific season that will engrave that rider's name in the history of racing forever, independently of what happened before or will happen later. At least I like to see racing that way.

For Rossi is 2004. For Casey 2007. For Jorge 2010. For Marquez 2014. And obvioulsy not because they won a title in those years, but because of HOW they have won it.

The list goes on but these 4 years are the "main" ones IMHO, at least for the part of racing history that I have witnessed (I am 27 years old).

The best was imo the senior TT in 67, Hailwood v Agostini, the bikes were lethal and the riders were the best. I think MM would be able to ride those sort of bikes, but nobody else from this era.
 
I personally put this one right up top because the bike s not dominant like 14. It’s s likely he will match or surpass the 14 point tally where he won 11 of the first 12 races. When Ducati won 3 races in a row and appeared to he ready to make a run, Marc responded with 3 straight on tracks that on paper favored the Ducati and leads by over 100 points in an era designed for this not to happen. When the spec ecu came in there was all this talk how the new wave video arcade rider was going to struggle and I predicted it would actually make him more dominant and that is what happened. When your competitors say you don’t have the bike to have this kind of lead says pretty much everything.
