Put JPSLotus on Suicide watch - Stoner's test cancelled

Poor JPS. But all we would get is some times at day's end. No coverage of any worth.
And when one guy is circulating without others...it becomes kinda irrelevant from the comparison aspect

He should have stuck to running the official test.

Bad move on his and Ducati's part to think the private test would hold up.

Dorna could have made an exception, and should have. If this had been scheduled to run a week or less before the grand prix, it's an understandable decision. Not when you are outside of a week, and closer to two weeks out.

Typical.

Why "should" Dorna make an exception? On what grounds?

I can think of another rider that would bring a lot of attention to the sport if granted some exceptions.

Would you be saying the same about making an exception were it the 8/9 March?

Asking as those are the days rumoured that Yamaha had booked for Edwards to test ................

IMO, right decision and the Ducati statements only smack more of the MM/Alzamora attitude from PI 2013 - 'oh but wait, what if' type of BS

I wouldn't care if Yamaha had done the same thing.

Big deal if they want Colin Edwards to test ride, go for it. It should be allowed.

I don't have a problem with there being no private test allowed starting Sunday 3/13 since we're into the week of the GP now.

Well that's good, at least the circuit still still be rubbered in and they can run a true race simulation against what Iannone and Dovizioso do in the race.

I think Ducati are better served with an evolving test; new component tests, setup, and electronics. They don't need to know how fast 27 can complete a race.
